Zac Guildford
Zachary Robert Guildford (born 8 February 1989) is a New Zealand rugby union player who plays for Waikato in the Mitre 10 Cup. A wing, he has won 11 caps for the New Zealand national team, the All Blacks, including during their victorious 2011 Rugby World Cup campaign. He initially signed with the Tasman Rugby Union for the 2016 Mitre 10 Cup season, but the Union and Guildford agreed to part ways before the start of the season. In Super Rugby, he most recently played for the New South Wales Waratahs, having previously played for the and the , in the Top 14 competition for French side Clermont Auvergne and in the New Zealand domestic ITM Cup for . The Top 14 () is a professional rugby union club competition that is played in France. Created in 1892, the Top 14 is at the top of the national league system operated by the French National Rugby League, also known by its French initialism of LNR. Super Rugby is a men's professional rugby union club competition involving teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. It previously included teams from Argentina, Japan, and South Africa. 2016 Mitre 10 Cup
The 2016 Mitre 10 Cup season was the eleventh season of New Zealand's provincial rugby union competition since it turned professional in 2006. The regular season began on August 18, when North Harbour hosted Counties Manukau. It involved the top fourteen rugby unions of New Zealand. For sponsorship reasons, the competition was known as the Mitre 10 Cup and it was the first season under the lead sponsor. The winner of the Championship, North Harbour was promoted to the Premiership, the seventh placed Premiership team, Hawke's Bay was relegated to the Championship. The Tasman Rugby Union is the governing body for rugby union in Tasman Bay / Te Tai-o-Aorere, a bay at the north end of the South Island in New Zealand. The rugby sevens at the 2010 Commonwealth Games was the fourth Commonwealth Games at which rugby sevens was played. Rugby sevens was one of only two sports contested only by males with no women's competition (the other being boxing). The rugby competition was held between 11 and 12 October 2010.
