Zacharia Douglas Evans (born 3 May 1991) is a Welsh footballer who plays as a midfielder for Newtown. Playing career On 13 August 2010, Presteigne-born Evans joined Hereford United of League Two on a one-year deal. He made his debut in the Football League Trophy second round 3–0 defeat by Exeter City on 5 October 2010, replacing Richard Rose on 56 minutes but was released in January 2011. Evans joined Welsh Premier League club Newtown towards the end of the 2009–2010. He failed to score his first goal for Newtown. Presteigne (; cy, Llanandras: the church of St. Andrew) is a town and community in Radnorshire, Powys, Wales on the south bank of the River Lugg. Formerly the county town of the historic county of Radnorshire, the town has, in common with several other towns close to the Wales-England border, assumed the motto, "''Gateway to Wales''". The Cymru Premier, known as the JD Cymru Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the national football league of Wales. Richard Rose (footballer)
Richard Alan Rose (born 8 September 1982) is an English professional footballer who plays for Hastings United. Rose plays as a defender and has been noted for his versatility having played in both the full back and centre back positions, and occasionally in central midfield. Playing career Rose was born in Tonbridge, Kent and joined Gillingham as a youth player. Whilst still a trainee he made his professional debut as a 14th minute substitute in Gillingham's 2–1 defeat at Crewe Alexandra on 16 April 2001. Rose went on to play in the final four games of the season in place of the injured Mark Patterson.
