The Barcelona Metro (Catalan and Spanish: ) is an extensive network of rapid transit electrified railway lines that run mostly underground in central Barcelona and into the city's suburbs. Line 10 (Polígon Pratenc – Gorg) is the name of one of the two branches of the Barcelona metro line 9, currently (2020) under construction and to be operated by TMB. Like Line 9 and Line 11, it will be an automatic train operation (i.e. driverless vehicle) metro line. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange.
