Zulfikar Family
The Zulfikar family, sometimes spelled Zolfakar ( arz, عيلة ذو الفقار, Pseudonym, Aliases: آل ذو الفقار, Arabic: عائلة ذو الفقار, Coptic language, Egyptian (Coptic): Ⲍⲩⲗϥⲓⲕⲁⲣ), is a prominent Egyptian noble family. They have had an influence that has stretched from the late 16th century to modern times. It is known that more than one Zulfikar has been either a ruler of Egypt or a prince in the Mamluk Sultanate, Egyptian Mamluk era. The family has produced a large number of military officers from the 19th to the late-20th century. Ahmed Mourad Salah El-Din Zulfikar (15 August 1952 – 1 May 2010) was an Egyptian mechanical engineer and entrepreneur. He worked for three decades in the field of infrastructure. Zulfikar was one of the first founders of the modern irrigation systems technology in Egypt. The Free Officers ( ar, حركة الضباط الأحرار, Ḥarakat a-dubbāṭ al-ʾaḥrār) were a group of revolutionary Egyptian nationalism, Egyptian nationalist officers in the Egyptian Armed Forces and Sudanese Armed Forces that instigated the Egyptian Revolution of 1952. Ahmed Mourad Bey Zulfikar
Ahmed Mourad Bey Zulfikar or Ahmed Mourad Zulfikar (Egyptian Arabic: أحمد مراد بك ذو الفقار; August 18, 1888 – April 3, 1945), was an Egyptian police commissioner in the ministry of Interior. He held the position of Cairo Head of Security in the 1930s and 1940s. He is a member of the Zulfikar family. He was born in Cairo on August 18, 1888. Zulfikar was married and has eight children, Mohamed, Soad, Fekreya, Mahmoud, Ezz El-Dine, Kamal, Salah and Mamdouh. Zulfikar died of a heart attack on April 3, 1945, in Cairo, Egypt. Ibrahim Pasha ( tr, Kavalalı İbrahim Paşa; ar, إبراهيم باشا ''Ibrāhīm Bāshā''; 1789 – 10 November 1848) was an Ottoman Albanian general in the Egyptian army and the eldest son of Muhammad Ali, the Wāli and unrecognised Khedive of Egypt and Sudan.
