Zubaidah Bint Ja'far
Zubaidah bint Ja`far ibn al-Mansur () (died 26 Jumada I 216 AH / 10 July 831 CE) was the best known of the Abbasid princesses, and the wife and double cousin of Harun al-Rashid. She is particularly remembered for the series of wells, reservoirs and artificial pools that provided water for Muslim pilgrims along the route from Baghdad to Mecca and Medina, which was renamed the Darb Zubaidah in her honor. The exploits of her and her husband, Harun al-Rashid, form part of the basis for ''The Thousand and One Nights''. Biography Zubaidah's birthdate is unknown; it is known that she was at least a year younger than Harun. Her father, Ja'far was a half-brother of the Abbasid caliph al-Mahdi. Her mother, Salsal, was an elder sister of al-Khayzuran, second and most powerful wife of al-Mahdi, and mother of the future caliphs Musa al-Hadi and Harun al-Rashid. Zubaida Ahmed Tharwat ( ar, زبيدة أحمد ثروت) (June 15, 1940 – December 13, 2016) was an Egyptian film, stage and television actress who was known for "the most beautiful eyes in classic Egyptian cinema". Zübeyde Süpürgeci (born 20 July 1993) is a Turkish Paralympian athlete competing in the T54 disability class events of 100m, 400m and 800m as well as T53/ T54 class relay event. Early years Zübeyde Süpürgeci was born on 20 July 1993. She was disabled from birth. Until the age of 16, she did not even want to go out. Zubaida Tariq ( ur, ; 4 April 1942– 4 January 2018), also commonly known as Zubaida Aapa, was a Pakistani chef, herbalist, and cooking expert. Vidya Rani (born Zubeida Begum) (1926 – 26 January 1952), often known as Zubeida or Zubeidaa, was an Indian actress. Early life Zubeida Begum was the daughter of Shri Qasembhai Mehta, a Bohra Muslim businessman, and Faiza Bai, a singer in Bombay. Personal life A Shia by birth, Zubeida converted according to Arya Samaj rites to marry Maharaja Hanwant Singh of Jodhpur, on 17 December 1950, in Bombay, and took on the name Vidya Rani and moved to Jodhpur.
