Zion Lutheran Church (Stamford, Connecticut)
The Zion Lutheran Church (now known as Mision Pentecostal John 3:16) is a historic Lutheranism, Lutheran church building at 132 Glenbrook Road in Stamford, Connecticut. The red brick Gothic Revival structure was built in 1925 by a German immigrant congregation founded in 1897. It is the city's only red brick church. The main facade is dominated by a square tower on the right, which rises only to the height of the roof gable on the left. The gable stands above a large quadruple window set in a slightly pointed arch, which stands above the main entrance, which is recessed in an arched opening. and The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. After a long decline in attendance and membership, the building was sold to a Spanish-speaking Pentecostal congregation, and the Lutheran church ceased its existence in 2021. Zion Lutheran Church (Fredericksburg, Texas)
Zion Lutheran Church is located in Fredericksburg, Texas, Fredericksburg, in Gillespie County, Texas, Gillespie County, in the U.S. state of Texas. It is the oldest Lutheran Church in the Texas Hill Country and one of the oldest in Texas. The church was built by six families in 1852. On January 13, 1853, twelve founders signed its articles of organization. The cornerstones for the church were set on March 6, 1854. Designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1964, Marker number 10132. Architecture Members of the young congregation provided most of the building materials as well as the labor. In 1884, improvements were made to the building. On June 12, 1908, an enlarged sanctuary was dedicated. Additions to the original 1853 structure included the bell tower and a new chancel. Zion Lutheran Church is a historic church northwest of Volin in rural Yankton County, South Dakota. It is situated 8½ miles east of the Volin exit on U.S. Route 81. The Zion Lutheran Church is a church located in downtown Portland, Oregon, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Architect Pietro Belluschi employed a number of innovations in this 1950 church, an example of the application of modern architectural principles to a religious building. Using local materials, influences, and artists and craftsmen, it represents the Northwest Regional style of modern architecture, which Belluschi (along with colleague John Yeon) originated and developed. Zion Lutheran Church, also known as Organ Church, is a historic Lutheranism, Lutheran Church (building), church located near Rockwell, North Carolina, Rockwell, Rowan County, North Carolina. It was built in 1794, and is a two-story, stone building. A large bell tower was added about 1900; it is topped by a heavy octagonal spire with a weathervane. A Sunday School addition was built on the rear of the church in 1929. An earlier wooden structure commonly known as the "Hickory Church" (circa mid-1750s) was shared with Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church, Grace Church on the plantation of Jacob Fulenwiler, the current site of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. When Fulenwiler died in 1771, both churches moved to Grace Church's current location, with Organ Church moving to its own site in 1774.
