Andreas Zingerle
Andreas Zingerle (; born 25 November 1961) is an Italian former biathlete. At the 1988 Olympics in Calgary, Zingerle won a bronze medal in the relay. At the World Championships Zingerle accumulated one individual gold medal and three golds and a bronze in relay and team events. He has later become the head coach of Italian National Team. Under his tenure the Italians collected several medals at the Olympic Winter Games and World Championships, including Gold Medals by Dominik Windisch and Dorothea Wierer at the Biathlon World Championships 2019. Franz Zingerle
Franz Zingerle (11 December 1908 – 12 June 1988) was the Austrian alpine skier and world champion. Zingerle became a world downhill champion in 1935. Biography He comes from a poor farmers family as the oldest son from a total of eight kids. Already during his childhood he developed a love for skiing. As a teenager, he first worked as a laborer until he learned to be a bricklayer. At the age of 17, he bought skis for the first time and joined the Axams, ski club which held the first ski races on the Birgitzer Alm. Shortly after he joined the club, he became the club's first club champion in 1926. Moreover, 1926 is considered as the beginning year of his successful career. At the age of 21, he came to the Tyrol Ski Club, where he was able to participate regularly in ski races in the winter of 1929/30. The following season, he was downhill and slalom winner in Seefeld. Hermann Zingerle
Hermann Zingerle (31 March 1870 – 25 April 1935) was an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist born in Trento. In 1894 he earned his medical degree from the University of Innsbruck, becoming an assistant at the University of Graz during the following year. In 1899 he received his habilitation for psychiatry and neuropathology, and from 1909 to 1926 was an associate professor at Graz. His name is associated with Zingerle's automatosis ( Zingerle syndrome), a condition in which an individual experiences visual hallucinations taking place during automatic movements and changes in posture. The term "Zingerle syndrome" was named in his honor by Swiss neurologist Georges de Morsier (1894–1982). Ignaz Vincenz Zingerle
Ignaz Vincenz Zingerle (6 June 1825 – 17 September 1892) was an Austrian poet and scholar. Zingerle was born, the son of the Roman Catholic theologian and orientalist Pius Zingerle (1801-1881), at Meran. He began his studies at Trento, and entered for a while the Benedictine monastery at Marienberg. Abandoning the clerical profession, he returned to Innsbruck, where, in 1848, he became teacher in the gymnasium, and in 1859 professor of German language and literature at the university. He died at Innsbruck in September 1892. Zingerle is known as author through his ''Zeitgedichte'' (Innsbruck, 1848); ''Von den Alpen'' (1850); ''Die Müllerin, a village tale'' (1853); ''Der Bauer von Longfall'' (1874); and ''Erzählungen aus dem Burggrafenamte'' (1884). His ethnographical writings and literary studies, dealing especially with Tirol, have, however, rendered him more famous.
