Ziggy's
Ziggy's was a live music venue and bar in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The venue in Baity Street closed after Thanksgiving in 2007. On August 5, 2011, Ziggy's reopened in Winston-Salem, in a 14,000 sq ft space on the corner of 8th and Trade St. in the Downtown Arts District. That venue closed down on February 21, 2016. It will reopen in 2022, where it will relocate to High Point. A former residence, Ziggy's became one of the premier club venues in the South. A wide variety of bands were hosted, with styles including Reggae, Rock, Blues, Hip Hop, and Country. Twiztid is an American hip hop duo from Detroit, Michigan, known for both their horror-themed lyrics and rock influenced sound. Anberlin is an American alternative rock band formed in Winter Haven, Florida in 2002. Since the beginning of 2007, the band consists of lead vocalist Stephen Christian, guitarists Joseph Milligan and Christian McAlhaney, bassist Deon Rexroat, and drummer Nathan Young. Emery is an American post-hardcore band formed in Rock Hill, South Carolina, in 2001 by Toby Morrell, Devin Shelton, Matt Carter, Josh Head, Joel Green, and Seth Studley. Hawthorne Heights, formerly A Day in the Life, is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001.
