Zella, Libya
Zella or Zalla ( ar, زلة ''az-Zallah'') is an oasis in the northeastern Fezzan region of southwest Libya. The Sahara Desert town is approximately halfway between Marada and Hun in the Jufra District. Features Zella is the site of an ancient Berber castle. There are a number of smaller oases in the vicinity, such as Trezah, Meduin and Tagreft. Zella is a gateway to Alharuj Al Asswad. The Diocese of Zella ( la, Dioecesis Zellensis, link=no) is a suppressed and titular see of the Roman Catholic Church. The diocese of Zella, is located in today's Tunisia. During the Roman Empire the Diocese was centered on a Roman town of the Roman province of Byzacena. During late antiquity the city had both a Donatist and Catholic congregation. These two both sent bishops to the Conference of Carthage of 411. Today Zella survives as a titular bishopric and the current archbishop, personal title, is Angelo Acerbi, who was already the prelate of the Order of Malta's military sovereign. Zella-Mehlis
Zella-Mehlis is a town in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district, in Thuringia, Germany. It is situated in the Thuringian Forest, 5 km north of Suhl, and 20 km east of Meiningen. The town of Zella-Mehlis is the site of the original Walther Arms and J.G. Anschütz weapons factories. They remained there until the Soviets occupied eastern Germany at the end of World War II. The former municipality Benshausen was merged into Zella-Mehlis in January 2019. Altzella Abbey
Altzella Abbey, also Altzelle Abbey (german: Kloster Altzella or ''Altzelle'', previously ''Cella'' or ''Cella Sanctae Mariae''), is a former Cistercian monastery near Nossen in Saxony, Germany. The former abbey contains the tombs of the Wettin margraves of Meissen from 1190 to 1381. The premises and gardens, surrounded by the precinct wall of the former monastery, and known as the ''Klosterpark Altzella'', are now maintained by the Schloss Nossen/Kloster Altzella Administration, and consist of a Romantic park, ruins and restored buildings, used for various cultural and religious functions, such as Corpus Christi processions. Zella Lehr (born March 14, 1951) is an American singer and entertainer. She had hit records on RCA Records and Columbia Records, most notably her cover of Dolly Parton's " Two Doors Down (which charted for Lehr in late 1977, before Parton herself had released the song as a single). Zella McBerty (née Helwick; 1879 24 May 1937), was an American businesswoman and engineer, a “''better mechanic than any of the other men that she worked with''” at Packard Electric. Early life Born Zella Helwick in 1879 to a couple from Mineral Ridge, Ohio who died shortly after her birth, she later moved to Warren, Ohio where she married Fred McBerty. Zella De Milhau
Zella de Milhau (1870–1954) was an American artist, ambulance driver, community organizer and motorcycle policewoman. Milhau was instrumental in organizing ''Block Beautiful'', a 1902 neighborhood beautification program in Brooklyn, New York. As an artist she was known for her etchings, which are included in several museum collections. During World War I she went to England to volunteer, and was appointed a recruiting sergeant in the Volunteer Training Corps. She later raised community funds in Southampton to purchase an ambulance, which she equipped and drove in France between the front line and hospitals. She received the Croix de guerre and the Medal of French Gratitude from the French government for her service. Zella Jackson Price (born c. 1940) is an American gospel singer whose career has spanned 50 years. She performed with many St. Louis-based entertainers and earned national recognition, performing in her own show at Carnegie Hall in 1985. She was one of the pioneer black announcers on St. Louis radio and was the feature of a documentary about her life created by Chicago TV channel 28.
