Zamindar (1966 Film)
''Zamindar'' () is a 1966 Indian Telugu-language action thriller film directed by V. Madhusudhana Rao. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Krishna Kumari, with music composed by T. Chalapathi Rao. It was produced by Tammareddy Krishna Murthy under the Ravindra Art Pictures banner. The film is loosely based on the 1963 English film '' Charade''. Plot Saroja ( Krishna Kumari) and her friends go for a picnic and confront the hero, Seshagiri ( Akkineni Nageswara Rao) and his friends for accommodation in a guest house and tease each other. Saroja is the daughter of a rich man, Narahari ( Mudigonda Lingamurthy) and Seshagiri is the pampered brother of Subbarao (Gummadi) and his wife Lakshmi (Hemalatha). Seshagiri and Saroja fall in love. The story takes a sharp turn with the entrance of the villain, Raju (Nagabhushanam). Narahari is worried about his arrival because of the dark past between them. Mullapudi Venkata Ramana
Mullapudi Venkata Ramana (28 June 1931 – 24 February 2011) was an Indian writer known for his work in Telugu language, Telugu language. Noted for his humorous and metaphorical style of writing, Mullapudi received Raghupathi Venkaiah Award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 1986 for his contributions to Telugu cinema and he also won six Nandi Awards. Mullapudi is noted for his association with Bapu (director), Bapu, who both worked together as Bapu–Ramana. Suryakantham (actress)
Suryakantham (28 October 1924 – 18 December 1994) was an Indian actress in Tollywood. She was popular for playing the role of a cruel mother-in-law in most of her movies. Early life Suryakantham was born and brought up in a Telugu Brahmin family residing at Venkata Krishnaraya Puram near Kakinada of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. She was the 14th child to her parents, ten of whose children had died. She learnt dance and singing at the age of six. She married Peddibhotla Chalapati Rao, a High Court Judge, in 1950. Career Suryakantham started as a dancer in '' Chandralekha'', produced by the Gemini Studios, for which she had been paid Rs 75 in remuneration. Arudra (born Bhagavatula Sadasiva Sankara Sastry; 31 August 1925 – 4 June 1998) was an Indian author, poet, lyricist, translator, publisher, dramatist, playwright, and an expert on Telugu literature. He is also known for his works in Telugu cinema as a lyricist, dialogue writer, and story writer. He received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1987. Kosaraju Raghavayya (23 June 1905 – 27 October 1987), known mononumously by his surname Kosaraju, was an Indian lyricist and poet known for his works in Telugu cinema. Ghantasala Venkateswararao (4 December 1922 – 11 February 1974), known mononymously by his surname as Ghantasala, was an Indian playback singer and film composer known for his works predominantly in Telugu and Kannada cinema and also in Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi language films.
