Zamfara United
Zamfara United Football Club is a Nigerian football club, based in the town of Gusau in Zamfara State. History Before the 2008–09 season there was a brief power struggle for the chairman position that saw Shehu Gusau sacked and then retained and even arrested. They retained their place in the top league by two goals on the final day of the season thanks to an unbelievable 9–0 victory over Kaduna United FC. They were relegated to the National Second Division in 2011 after a five-year stay in the Premier League. In June 2013, they withdrew from the league with six games left after they ran out of money following a banishment to Sokoto. They were at the bottom of the table with a record of five wins four ties and 15 losses. The club was disbanded by the state government. In 2015 the state government applied to be readmitted to the Nigeria National League. The city of Gusau, located in northwestern Nigeria, is the capital of Zamfara State. It is also the name of the state's Local Government Area (LGA), which has an area of ² and a population of 383,162 as of the 2006 census. The area's postal code is 880. Zamfara State

Kaduna United Football Club is a Nigerian football club based in Kaduna and run by the Kaduna State government. History The club was relegated from the Nigerian Premier League in 2007 but won promotion just one year later. After 2011, they were no longer in premier league and they still aren't as of 2016. The Nigerian National League (formerly known as ''National Division 1'') is the second tier of club football in Nigeria. History From 1997-2011, the league has been split into 1A for Northern teams and 1B for southern teams. The top two from each division are promoted to the Nigerian Premier League the next season. The exceptions were the 2005–06 and 2006-07 seasons where there were four divisions of eight teams each, with each division winner winning promotion.
