Yvonne Anderson
Yvonne Marche Anderson ( sr-cyr, Ивон Андерсон, Ivon Anderson; born March 8, 1990) is an American-Serbian professional basketball player who currently plays for Fenerbahçe in the Women's Basketball Super League and EuroLeague Women. She also represents the Serbia national team. Born in United States, she successfully obtained citizenship and represents Serbia internationally. She was a standout basketball player at the University of Texas. She is the daughter of basketball coach Mike Anderson. National team career On 11 November 2020, Anderson made a national team debut for Serbia in a 82–71 win over Lithuania at the EuroBasket Women 2021 qualification. She recorded 13 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists in her debut. In June 2021, she won the gold medal at the Eurobasket 2021 in Valencia with the Serbian national team. The Women's Basketball Super League ( tr, Kadınlar Basketbol Süper Ligi, KBSL), also known as the Herbalife Nutrition Women's Basketball Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the top women's professional basketball division of the Turkish women's basketball league system. 2022 Connecticut Sun Season
The 2022 WNBA season was the 24th season for the Connecticut Sun franchise of the Women's National Basketball Association. It also was the 20th season for the franchise in Connecticut after relocating from Orlando. The season began on May 7, 2022, at the New York Liberty. Despite losing their first game of the season, the Sun won their next four games in a row. They then went 2–2 to finish out the month of May with a 6–3 record. They started June with a four game winning streak and won six of their first seven games. However, they lost three of their last four in the month to finish with a 7–4 record. The 2022 WNBA season was the 26th season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Chicago Sky were the defending champions. The WNBA's second Commissioner's Cup took place during the regular season, with the Las Vegas Aces winning over the Sky. In the playoffs, the Aces were the first seed and won the Finals over the Connecticut Sun. The regular season was expanded to 36 games per team, is the most games scheduled in a single WNBA season. Michael Andre Anderson (born December 12, 1959) is an American basketball coach, currently the head coach of the St. John's Red Storm. He came to St. John's after previously serving as head coach at UAB, Missouri and Arkansas. He also served as an assistant/associate head coach under Nolan Richardson at Arkansas for 17 years. Over his 20 seasons as a head coach, Anderson has compiled a 414–235 record, 11 20-win campaigns, 9 NCAA Tournament appearances, two Sweet 16 berths and a run to the 2009 Elite Eight.
