Yvenson Bernard
Yvenson Bernard VAN-son(born October 25, 1984) is a former professional Canadian football running back formerly of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Oregon State. Bernard has also been a member of the Seattle Seahawks. Early years Bernard was a four-year starter and played running back, fullback and strong safety at Boca Raton High School in Boca Raton, Florida. He led Florida's 5A football league in scoring his senior season with 19 touchdowns, rushing for 1,156 yards on 159 carries (7.4 average). A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. A touchdown (abbreviated as TD) is a scoring play in gridiron football. Whether running, passing, returning a kickoff or punt, or recovering a turnover, a team scores a touchdown by advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone. Ken Simonton
Ken Simonton III (born June 7, 1979) is a former American football running back who last played in the CFL for the Calgary Stampeders after a brief career in the NFL and the NFL Europe. Early life Simonton's family has a history of baseball. His father, Ken Simonton II played in the Boston Red Sox farm system in 1975. His brother Benji Simonton spent eight seasons in the San Francisco Giants and Anaheim Angels organizations and his cousin Cy Simonton played three seasons in the Seattle Mariners organization. Simonton originally intended to play both baseball and football at Oregon State. Simonton was a two-sport (football and baseball) star for the Pittsburg High School Pirates. As a sophomore, Simonton rushed for 1,135 yards in 10 games on 105 carries for an average of 10.8 yards per carry. The Maryland Terrapins, commonly referred to as the Terps, consist of 19 men's and women's varsity intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Maryland, College Park in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I competition. Maryland was a founding member of the Southern Conference in 1921, a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1952, and is now a member of the Big Ten Conference. The nickname was coined in 1932 by Harry C. "Curley" Byrd, then the school's football coach and later the school's president. The 2007 Emerald Bowl, one of the 2007–08 NCAA football bowl games, was played on December 27, 2007, at AT&T Park in San Francisco, California, with the Atlantic Coast Conference represented by the Maryland Terrapins against the Oregon State Beavers, representing the Pacific-10 Conference. The Terrapins scored all of their 14 points in the first quarter, while the Beavers scored successive touchdowns in the first, second and third quarters to win the game 21–14. The Oregon-Oregon State Football Game (Civil War) is an American college football rivalry game played annually in the state of Oregon between the Ducks of the University of Oregon in Eugene and the Beavers of Oregon State University in Corvallis. Arthroscopy
Arthroscopy (also called arthroscopic or keyhole surgery) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure on a joint in which an examination and sometimes treatment of damage is performed using an arthroscope, an endoscope that is inserted into the joint through a small incision. Arthroscopic procedures can be performed during ACL reconstruction. The advantage over traditional open surgery is that the joint does not have to be opened up fully. For knee arthroscopy only two small incisions are made, one for the arthroscope and one for the surgical instruments to be used in the knee cavity. This reduces recovery time and may increase the rate of success due to less trauma to the connective tissue. The 2007 Oregon State Beavers football team represented Oregon State University in the 2007 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team's head coach was Mike Riley. Home games were played at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Oregon. Season notes The team returned 16 starting players from the previous season and was predicted by some analysts to contend for second place in the Pac-10. They returned a majority of the defense, which was ranked second in the nation for total sacks, eighth in the nation in tackles for loss, and within the top 20 in rushing defense in the 2006–07 season.
