Yvan Muller (born 16 August 1969 in Altkirch, Haut-Rhin) is a French auto racing driver most noted for success in touring car racing. He is a four-time World Touring Car Champion, winning the title in 2008 with SEAT, in 2010 and 2011 with Chevrolet and in 2013 with RML. He was British Touring Car Champion in 2003 with Vauxhall. Yvan Colonna
Yvan Colonna ( co, Ivanu Colonna, ; 7 April 1960 – 21 March 2022) was a French Corsican nationalist convicted for the assassination in 1998 of the prefect of Corse-du-Sud, Claude Érignac. He was beaten to death in prison by a jihadist inmate, sparking riots. Early life Colonna was born in Ajaccio, France, on 7 April 1960. He was the son of Jean-Hugues Colonna, a former member of the National Assembly for the Socialist Party elected in the Alpes-Maritimes and a recipient of the French Légion d'honneur. His mother was from Laz in Brittany. In 1975, his family moved to Nice. After completing his Baccalauréat (French high school), he studied to become a teacher of physical education and sports, but broke off his studies in 1981. Yvan Goll (also: Iwan Goll, Ivan Goll; born Isaac Lang; 29 March 1891 – 27 February 1950) was a French-German poet who was bilingual and wrote in both French and German. He had close ties to both German expressionism and to French surrealism. Biography Yvan Goll (also written Ivan Goll) was born at Sankt Didel, Alsace-Lorraine, in what was then in Germany. His father was a cloth merchant from a Jewish family from Rappoltsweiler in Alsace. After his father's death when he was six years old, his mother joined relatives in Metz, then a major town of Lorraine in the 1871 German Empire (after 1918 the area was claimed by France). In this predominantly Lorraine/French-speaking western part of Alsace-Lorraine, high school education inevitably involved German. Yvan Patry (1948–1999) was a Canadian documentary filmmaker. Yvan was born in Iroquois Falls, Ontario. During the 1970s he worked as a professor at Montmorency College in Laval, Quebec, where he produced several educational films. Yvan's short film ''Octobre 68'' was included in the SRC's public television series "Les temps changent". The NFB produced his first feature ''Ainsi soient-ils'' - a fiction film centered on Quebec youth and the new cultural mentality that came about after 1968. In 1974 Yvan Patry teamed with Bernard Lalond, Roger Frappier, Guy Bergeron, and André Gagnon to direct ''On a raison de se révolter'', a film on workers' conflicts that was intended to politicize Quebec workers. Yvan Blot (29 June 1948 – 10 October 2018) was a French conservative politician. A founding member of the GRECE, he was also the co-creator and president of the Club de l'Horloge. Biography Born on 29 June 1948 in Saint-Mandé, Yvan Blot was the son of Camille Blot and Adela Sophia Brys. Yvan Randriasandratriniony is a Madagascar, Malagasy politician. He served in the government of Madagascar as Minister of Agriculture, Breeding and Fishing from March 2002 to January 2004 and Minister of Decentralization and Regional Planning from January 2007 to April 2008. Yvan Dutil, born April 6, 1970, is a Canadian astrophysicist. He is a member of the Bioastronomy Commission of the International Astronomical Union and of the International Academy of Astronautics's Permanent Committee on the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI). He and colleague Stéphane Dumas, created a noise-resistant coding system for messages aimed at communicating with extraterrestrial civilization.
