Yuval Avidor
Yuval Avidor ( he, יובל אבידור; born 19 October 1986) is an Israeli football player who plays for F.C. Haifa Robi Shapira. He is known for his speed and ability to play as a striker as well as a winger. Early life Avidor was born in Kiryat Motzkin, Israel, to a Jewish family. Career Hapoel Haifa Avidor made his debut for Hapoel Haifa in 2004–2005 season in the Israeli second division Liga Leumit. He played for Haifa for two more seasons and on 2006–2007 season he finished as the Liga Leumit top goalscorer with 17 goals but missed promotion with the club finishing 3rd. Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona Before the 2007–2008 season he moved to Northern club Ironi Kiryat Shmona which just won promotion to the Israeli Premier League reuniting with his former coach Ran Ben Shimon . Kiryat Motzkin
Kiryat Motzkin ( he, קִרְיַת מוֹצְקִין) is a city in the Haifa District of Israel, north of the city of Haifa. In it had a population of . The city is named after Leo Motzkin (1867-1933), one of the organizers of the First Zionist Congress in 1897. The mayor of the city is Haim Zuri. History Kiryat Motzkin was founded in 1934, and by 1935 the first school was opened. In 1939, the town had a population of about 2,000 and 345 buildings. Kiryat Motzkin railway station was constructed by British Mandatory Palestine in 1937. In the Second World War, Kiryat Motzkin suffered from German\Italian air bombarding. It received local council status in 1940. During the 1947–48 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine, an important battle took place near Kiryat Motzkin when the Haganah destroyed an Arab arms convoy and killed the commander of Arab forces in the process. Hapoel ( he, הפועל, lit. ''the worker'') is an Israeli Jewish sports association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation. History During the British Mandate of Palestine period Hapoel had a bitter rivalry with Maccabi and organized its own competitions, with the exception of football, the only sport in which all the organizations played each other. 2009–10 Israeli Premier League
The 2009–10 Israeli Premier League was the 11th season since its introduction in 1999 and the 68th season of top-tier football in Israel. It began on 22 August 2009 and ended on 15 May 2010 with the last matches of the playoff round. On 15 May 2010, Hapoel Tel Aviv won the title in the last play-off round after Maccabi Haifa failed to win against Bnei Yehuda and they won their game against Beitar Jerusalem in a late goal at the 90+2' minute of extra time. 2008–09 Israeli Premier League
The 2008–09 Israeli Premier League season began on 30 August 2008, and ended on 1 June 2009. Beitar Jerusalem were the defending champions, having won their 6th league title the previous year. Two teams from Liga Leumit were promoted at the end of the previous season: Hakoah Amidar Ramat Gan and Hapoel Petah Tikva. The two teams relegated were Hapoel Kfar Saba and Maccabi Herzliya. At a 24 June 2008 IFA administration meeting it was decided that the league would be expanded to 16 clubs for the following season. Due to the expansion, only one team was relegated directly to Liga Leumit, while five clubs were promoted. The eleventh-ranked team played in a play-off match against the sixth-ranked team from Liga Leumit. Maccabi Haifa clinched their 11th title after a 0–2 win against Maccabi Netanya on 23 May 2009.
