Abdullah Yusuf Ali
Abdullah Yusuf Ali, CBE, MA, LL.M, FRSA, FRSL (; ur, عبداللہ یوسف علی; 14 April 1872 – 10 December 1953) was an Indian-British barrister who wrote a number of books about Islam including an exegesis of the Qur'an. A supporter of the British war effort during World War I, Ali received the CBE in 1917 for his services to that cause. He died in London in 1953. Early life Ali was born in Bombay, British India, the son of Yusuf Ali Allahbuksh (died 1891), also known as Khan Bahadur Yusuf Ali, originally a Shi'i Isma'ili in the Dawoodi Bohra tradition, who later became a Sunni and who turned his back on the traditional business-based occupation of his community and instead became a Government Inspector of Police. On his retirement, he gained the title Khan Bahadur for public service. Muhammad Yusuf Ali
Muhammad Yusuf Ali (1923 – December 1998) was a Bangladesh politician. He was the first minister for Education and Cultural Affairs in the first cabinet of Bangladesh. Early life and education Ali was born in Farakkabad, Biral, Dinajpur in 1923. He matriculated in 1944 from Dinajpur Academy High School and intermediate exams from Ripon College. He got a Bachelor of Arts degree from Surendranath College and a Master of Arts degree from the University of Dhaka in 1953. He later earned a B.Law degree from University of Rajshahi and joined the Dinajpur district bar. Career Ali was a professor of Nawabganj College and afterwards at Surendranath College. He joined awami league in 1960 and in 1962 was elected to the East Pakistan Legislative Assembly. In 1965 he was elected to the Pakistan Constituent Assembly. Yusuf Ali Kechery
Yusufali Kechery (Yūsaphali Kēccēri; യൂസഫലി കേച്ചേരി 16 May 1934 – 21 March 2015) was a poet, film lyricist, film producer and director from Kerala, India. He wrote during the modern era of Malayalam poetry and won the Odakkuzhal Award, the Kerala Sahitya Academy Award and the Vallathol Award. Career K. P. Narayana Pisharody was Kechery's Sanskrit teacher and taught him free of cost for four years. Kechery's poetry works include ''Sainaba'', ''Aayiram Navulla Mounam'', ''Anchu Kanyakakal'', ''Nadabhramam'', ''Amrithu'', ''Kecheri Puzha'', ''Anuragagaanam Pole'', ''Aalila'', ''Kadhaye Premicha Kavitha'', ''Perariyatha Nombaram'' and ''Ahaindavam''. Yusuf Ali Kenadid
Yusuf Ali Kenadid ( so, Yuusuf Cali Keenadiid; 1837 - 14 August 1911) was a Somali Sultan. He was the founder of the Sultanate of Hobyo in April 1878. He was succeeded atop the throne by his son Ali Yusuf Kenadid. Family Yusuf Ali Kenadid was born into the Bah Yaaqub (part of the larger Bah Dirooble) branch of the Osman Mahamuud, Majeerteen Darod family. He is the father of Osman Yusuf Kenadid, who would go on to create the Osmanya writing script for the Somali language. Yusuf Ali's grandson, Yasin Osman Kenadid, would later help found the Society for Somali Language and Literature. Yusuf Ali was not a lineal descendant of the previous dynasties that governed over northeastern Somalia. Yusuf Ali Chowdhury (1905 – 26 November 1971), known as Mohan Mia, was a Bengali-Pakistani politician. Early life Chowdhury was born in 1905 in Faridpur, Faridpur District, Bengal Presidency, British Raj. His father, Chowdhury Moyezuddin Biwshash, was a zamindar. He studied till class ten in Ishan School, Faridpur. He was married to Ferdousi Begum. Career Chowdhury became involved in politics during his student life.
