Yuri Marichev
Yuri Nikolaevich Marichev (russian: Юpий Николаевич Mapичeв; born 1960) is a former volleyball player and the coach of the Russia women's national volleyball team, Russian women's national volleyball team 2013—2016. Playing career In 1991, Marichev won the gold medal in the Soviet Volleyball League. Also in 1991, he won the Turkish Men's Volleyball League, Turkish League, the CEV Cup, European Cup and the European Super Cup, all with the Turkish team. Coaching Marichev became a coach of the national women's volleyball team in January 2013 after the death of Coach Sergei Ovchinnikov. In 2005, he won the gold medal at FIVB Men's World Junior Championship with the Russian men's team. In 2013, he won the gold medal at the CEV European Championship in Germany and Switzerland. Tula, Russia
Tula ( rus, Тула, p=ˈtulə) is the largest city and the administrative center of Tula Oblast in Russia, located south of Moscow. Tula is located in the northern Central Russian Upland on the banks of the Upa River, a tributary of the Oka. The Turkish Men's Volleyball League, officially called the Efe League (Turkish: Efeler Ligi), is the highest professional men's volleyball league in Turkey. It is run by the Turkish Volleyball Federation. Russia Women's National Volleyball Team
The Russia women's national volleyball team is governed by the Russian Volleyball Federation and participated in international volleyball competitions. They played from 1949 to 1991 as the Soviet Union and as the CIS in 1992. In response to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the International Volleyball Federation suspended all Russian national teams, clubs, and officials, as well as beach and snow volleyball athletes, from all events. The 2015 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 29th edition of the European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball.
