Yuri (South Korean Entertainer)
Cha Hyun-ok ( ko, 차현옥; born December 24, 1976), known by her stage name Yuri ( ko, 유리), is a South Korean pop singer. Debuting as a singer with Cool (쿨), she later formed Girl Friends with best friend Chae Ri-na after the former group's breakup in 2005. Yuri has since regrouped with Cool. Career Yuri was not an original member of Cool, but was brought in to replace Yoo Chae-yeong for the group's second album. The band's lineup stayed the same from the second album onwards. In 2004, though, Cool was reportedly in danger of breaking up due to tensions within the band. The group eventually broke up after the release of their tenth album in 2005. A year after the breakup, Yuri announced that she would be joining with close friend Chae Ri-na to become a musical duo, named Girl Friends. ''MSN Music'' was a part of MSN's web services. It delivered music news, music videos, spotlights on new music, artist information, and live performances of artists. The website also served as a digital music store from 2004 to 2008. History In 2004, Microsoft created an MSN Music download store to compete with Apple's iTunes Music Store, though its sales in comparison were negligible. The store utilized Microsoft's Windows Media Player application and proprietary Windows Media Format files (protected .wma files). It started out with 1.5 million songs, but decreased to 1.1 million songs due to lagging sales and lack of real support from Microsoft. The MSN Music store was not compatible with Microsoft's own Zune music player. As of 14 November 2006, MSN Music ceased music sales and now redirects viewers to either Zune or Real Rhapsody websites. Baek Ji-young
Baek Ji-young (; born March 25, 1976), also known as Baek Z Young, is a South Korean singer. She made her debut in 1999, with the release of her album ''Sorrow''. Over her career she has released eight studio albums and won awards for Best Female Artist and Best OST at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Career Baek began her music career in 1999, entering the South Korean dance scene with her first album ''Sorrow''. The first single, "선택" (''Choice''), was one of the first Korean pop songs to feature Latin beats. The single charted well, and Baek quickly followed her debut with a second album, ''Rouge'', which came out in April 2000 and sold 360,000 copies. Roo'ra (Hangul: 룰라) was a co-ed hip hop and dance-pop vocal group from South Korea who was one of the country's most popular musical acts of the 1990s. The group debuted in 1994 with the hit album ''Roots of Reggae''. Their second album, ''The Angel Who Lost Wings'' (1995), sold 1 million copies in record time. Roo'ra disbanded in 2001, then reunited in 2009 to release their ninth and final album, ''A9ain''.
