Yumiko Nogawa
(born August 30, 1944) is a Japanese actress born in Kyoto, Japan. She has starred in several movies, notably ''Gate of Flesh'' (1964), a Japanese erotic film, part of a trilogy of films she made with director Seijun Suzuki. Including '' Story of a Prostitute'' (1965) and ''Carmen from Kawachi'' (1966), these films are known as Nogawa's "Flesh Trilogy". Nogawa has appeared in numerous films in Japan, including director Nagisa Oshima's ''The Pleasures of the Flesh'' (1965) and ''Zatoichi and the Fugitives'' (1968), the eighteenth film in the ''Zatoichi'' series. Plot Sakura is a single 39-year-old woman who manages a beauty salon. Asahi no kata (朝日の方) (1543 – February 18, 1590) was a Japanese woman and aristocrat of the Sengoku period. She was a half-sister of Toyotomi Hideyoshi and wife of Tokugawa Ieyasu, two of Japan's greatest feudal warlords. She is also called Suruga Gozen (駿河御前) and Asahi-hime (朝日姫), though none of these are names, referring to her as "the person of Asahi", "the Lady Suruga", or "Princess Asahi". (''Choshichiro's Edo Diaries'') was a long-running prime-time television series in Japan. The title character was Matsudaira Choshichiro Nagayori, the son of Tokugawa Tadanaga. The premise of the show focuses on Tadanaga's death as a result of an alleged plot to overthrow his elder brother, the third shōgun Tokugawa Iemitsu. Choshichiro lives among the commoners in the shogunal capital city of Edo. Kōtarō Satomi portrayed Choshichiro throughout the series. The Geisha House
is a 1998 film directed by Kinji Fukasaku. Plot In 1958, the Anti-Prostitution Law is about to be implemented. A young maiko named Tokiko works at Fujinoya Geisha House under Madam Satoe with the geisha Terucho, Kimiryo, and Somemaru. Over the course of her daily errands she witnesses Terucho becoming angry with Kimiryo for sleeping with one of her clients at the Momoyama Hotel and sees striking workers at Hinod Taxi being beaten by hired thugs.
