Yuliya Martisova
Yuliya Viktorovna Martisova (also ''Julia Martisova'', russian: Юлия Викторовна Мартисова; born 15 June 1976 in Velikiye Luki, Pskov Oblast) is a Russian professional road cyclist. She has awarded two Russian championship titles (2005 and 2008) in the women's road race, and later represented her nation Russia at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Martisova currently races for Italy's pro cycling team during the 2013 annual season. Racing career Since her professional debut in 2000, Martisova made the worldwide headlines in her sporting career, following her tremendous success in the women's road race at the 2005 Russian Championships. Strong results landed her spot on the P.M.B. Fenix Cycling Team in Italy under an exclusive three-year contract, and eventually added another title in her career hardware from the seventh stage of Tour De L'Aude Cycliste Féminin in Languedoc-Roussillon, France. 2012 UCI Road World Championships
The 2012 UCI Road World Championships took place in the southern part of the Dutch province of Limburg, also known as South Limburg, between September 15 and 23. The event consisted of a road race and a time trial for men, women and men under 23, and team time trials for elite men and women. It was the 79th Road World Championships. Castelfidardo near Loreto in Italy was also a candidate, but Italy had held the UCI Road World Championships in Varese in 2008. The Netherlands had last hosted the Road World Championships in 1998, in Valkenburg aan de Geul, and 2012 was the seventh time that the country hosted the championships. The 2012 championships had a number of changes compared to the former editions. A team time trial was reintroduced. This was last competed as a world championship event in 1994 between nations. Nicole Cooke
Nicole Denise Cooke, MBE (born 13 April 1983) is a Welsh former professional road bicycle racer and Commonwealth, Olympic and World road race champion. At Beijing in 2008 she became the first British woman to win a Gold Olympic medal in any cycling discipline. Cooke announced her retirement from the sport on 14 January 2013 at the age of 29. Early life Cooke was born in Swansea, and grew up in Wick, Vale of Glamorgan. She attended Brynteg Comprehensive School in Bridgend, where she gained the Rankin Prize, awarded each year for the highest academic achievement by a girl at GCE A Levels. She began cycling at 11, starting at Cardiff Ajax Cycling Club of which she is a life member. Beauchastel () is a commune in the Ardèche department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of southern France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as ''Beauchastellois'' or ''Beauchastelloises''. Geography Beauchastel is located some 10 km south by south-west of Valence and 20 km north-east of Privas. Access to the commune is by the D86 road from Charmes-sur-Rhône in the north which passes through the commune and continues south to La Voulte-sur-Rhône. The D86E branches from the D86 at the northern communal border and goes to the town then continues south to rejoin the D86 at La Voulte-sur-Rhône.
