Yulia Merkulova (russian: Юлия Меркулова) (born 17 February 1984) is a Russian volleyball player, who was born in Lipetsk. Standing at 202 cm, she plays as a middle blocker. She was part of the Russia women's national volleyball team at the 2006 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship in Japan. At club level, she plays for Dinamo Krasnodar. 2007 Women's European Volleyball Championship
The 2007 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 25th edition of the event, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball. It was hosted in Charleroi and Hasselt of Belgium and Luxembourg City of Luxembourg from 20 to 30 September 2007. Participating teams Format The tournament was played in three different stages. In the first stage, the sixteen participants were divided in four groups (A, B, C and D) of four teams each. A single round-robin format was played within each group to determine the teams' group position; the three best teams of each group (total of 12 teams) progressed to the second stage. Lipetsk ( rus, links=no, Липецк, p=ˈlʲipʲɪtsk), also romanized as Lipeck, is a city and the administrative center of Lipetsk Oblast, Russia, located on the banks of the Voronezh River in the Don basin, southeast of Moscow.
