Yukinobu Hoshino
is a Japanese manga artist. Life He was born in Kushiro, Hokkaidō and dropped out of Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music after two years of studying mid-semester from the fine arts department. Matazō Kayama ( , Kayama Matazō) was a Japanese ''Nihonga'' painter of the 20th century, born in Kyoto in 1927. Biography Kayama Matazo was a painter who employed a mixed technique. In 1949, he graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts with a degree in painting. Around 1960 he traveled, gave exhibitions, and held conferences abroad. Starting in 1950, he participated in expositions of The Association of Young Artists ''(Shinseisaku gakai)'', wherein he was awarded four times. , also called , , and is a type of poisonous magic found in Japanese folklore. It is the Japanese derivative of the Chinese Gu magic. To create kodoku, sorcerers would mix several insects in a jar, and let them kill one another until only one survived. The fluids of the insect that survived would be used to poison an individual with a curse that would control them, cause them misfortune, or kill them. The remaining insect could also be used as a sort of "luck charm" granting the one who performed the ritual great wealth. In return the owner is supposed to feed the bug. Neglecting to do so would enrage the insect, if the owner does not equivalently repay the insect by placing all his or her riches beside a road, plus interest in gold and silver, the insect would devour the home owner. Saber Tiger (manga)
is a Japanese heavy metal band from Sapporo. It was founded in 1981 by guitarist and sole-constant member Akihito Kinoshita - as well as two other musicians - who is responsible for producing, engineering and composing most of the band's work. Biography Saber Tiger was formed by guitarist Akihito Kinoshita and the Iwai brothers in 1981. After releasing three albums through an independent record label, the band had what appeared to be a temporary break-up. However, Kinoshita worked around this and signed a major label contract with Tokuma Japan Communications. Saber Tiger's 1997 major debut album, ''Project One'', thrust the band to the front of the flourishing Japanese metal scene. Kotetsu No Queen
(born Nagasone Okisato) was a Japanese swordmaker of the early Edo period. His father was an armorer who served Ishida Mitsunari, the lord of Sawayama. However, as Ishida was defeated by Tokugawa Ieyasu at the Battle of Sekigahara, the Nagasone family and some other craftsmen from Sawayama went to Echizen Province, where they took refuge in Fukui City. Early history Nagasone Okisato (長曽祢興里) was born in Nagasone-mura, Ōmi Province. The Nagasone family were blacksmiths and produced armor. Kotetsu would continue the family's tradition by becoming an armorer, but moved to Edo to pursue a career in swordmaking around the age of 50. Kotetsu's swords were known for their great strength and their ability to cut through helmets. However, Kotetsu's swords were often faked, and they were so well faked that even Kotetsu himself is said to have not been able to tell the difference.
