Nebojša Popović
Nebojša Popović ( sr-cyr, Небојша Поповић; 8 February 1923 – 20 October 2001) was a Serbian basketball player, coach and administrator. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. He is the basketball legend of Red Star Belgrade. In 2007, he was enshrined as a contributor in the FIBA Hall of Fame. Early life Popović lived with his family in Rijeka, where he played water polo as a goalkeeper. He learned about basketball from the Yugoslav water polo and a basketball pioneer Božo Grkinić. Basketball career Crvena zvezda Popović was a co-founder of the Crvena Zvezda basketball club in 1945. He held number 1 membership card. Stevan Aleksić ( sr-cyr, Стеван Алексић) (23 December 1876 – 2 November 1923) was a Serbian painter born in Austria-Hungary. His work belongs to the Munich School. He is especially known for his series of self-portraits, dating from 1895 to 1922, which at the same time illustrate the evolution of his style and technique as well as the changes in his physique and character, and is the largest such collection in Serbian painting. Biography Stevan Aleksić was born on 23 December 1876, in Arad, present-day Romania, to a family of artists. His father Dušan and grandfather Nikola were both painters. He finished his elementary school in Arad, where he received his first painting lessons from his father. Đorđe Andrijašević ( sr-cyr, Ђорђе Андријашевић; born 5 May 1931), credited as Giorgio Andrijassevic in Italy, is a Serbian professional basketball former player and former coach. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. He was the first coach to use full-court press technique in Europe. Borko Jovanović
Borivoje "Borko" Jovanović ( sr-cyr, Боривоје "Борко" Јовановић) was a Serbian basketball player. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. Playing career Jovanović played for a Belgrade-based team Crvena zvezda of the Yugoslav First League during 1950s. His teammates were Milan Bjegojević, Ladislav Demšar, Borislav Ćurčić, Dragan Godžić, Aleksandar Gec, Đorđe Andrijašević and many others. He won seven Yugoslav Championships with the Zvezda. Tullio Rochlitzer ( hbs, Tulio Roklicer, italic=no; December 23, 1926 – August 16, 2006) was an Italian-Croatian basketball player and coach. He represented Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. Playing career A guard, Rochlitzer played for his hometown team Zadar and Belgrade-based team Crvena zvezda between 1945 and 1951. During his stint with the Zvezda he won three Yugoslav Championships. In 1951, Rochlitzer fled to Italy. In Italy he played for Gallaratese, Pavia, and Vigevano. Borislav Ćurčić ( sr-cyr, Борислав Ћурчић; January 27, 1932 – April 15, 2015) was a Serbian basketball player and coach. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. Srđan Kalember ( sr-cyr, Срђан Калембер; June 5, 1928 – February 2, 2016), also known in France by his nickname Serge ( sr-cyr, Серж), was a Serbian professional basketball player and coach. Aleksandar Gec ( sr-cyr, Александар Гец; 3 March 1928 – 12 April 2008) was a Serbian professional basketball player, coach and administrator. He was the first basketball star of Crvena zvezda. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. Early life Gec spent his whole lifetime in Belgrade, where he finished his education. He went to the Third Men's Gymnasium. Strahinja "Braca" Alagić ( sr-cyr, Страхиња "Браца" Алагић; 14 August 1924 – 10 October 2002) was a Serbian professional basketball player and coach. He dedicated his coaching career is the most to women's basketball. With Crvena zvezda he won the FIBA EuroLeague Women in 1979. Alagić was a member of the first managing board of the Crvena zvezda basketball club.
