Yuba City (Maidu: ''Yubu'') is a city in Northern California and the county seat of Sutter County, California, United States. The population was 70,117 at the 2020 census. Yuba City is the principal city of the Yuba City Metropolitan Statistical Area which encompasses all of Sutter County and Yuba County. The metro area's population is 164,138. It is the 21st largest metropolitan area in California, ranked behind Redding and Chico. Its metropolitan statistical area is part of the Greater Sacramento CSA. History Early history The Maidu people were settled in the region when they were first encountered by Spanish and Mexican scouting expeditions in the early 18th century. Yuba (food)
Tofu skin, Yuba, beancurd skin, beancurd sheet, or beancurd robes is a food product made from soybeans. During the boiling of soy milk, in an open shallow pan, a film or skin composed primarily of a soy protein-lipid complex forms on the liquid surface. The films are collected and dried into yellowish sheets known as tofu skin. Since tofu skin is not produced using a coagulant, it is not technically a proper tofu; however, it does have similar texture and flavor to some tofu products. Tofu skin's use was first documented in written records in China, Korea, and Japan in the sixteenth century. It is widely used, fresh, fermented, or dried, in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese cuisine. Yuba County Airport (; ) is in Yuba County, California, United States, three miles southeast of Marysville. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 categorized it as a ''general aviation'' facility. History The Civil Aeronautics Board, authorized by Public No. 812, 76th Congress, approved the construction of Alicia Airport, and the City of Marysville and the County of Yuba jointly purchased 833 acres for the purpose. Alicia Airport was built in 1941 by contractor L. D. Richardson and Co. of Beverly Hills, California. In March 1942 the City of Marysville and County of Yuba leased the airport and its 833 acres to the Army Air Forces to serve as air support command base for Marysville Cantonment (later named Camp Beale), and it was designated as Marysville Army Airfield. It is located four nautical miles (5 mi, 7 km) south of the central business district of Elk Rapids, Michigan. Yuba College () is a public community college in Marysville, Yuba County, California. It is part of the Yuba Community College District. The college district has an extension campus in Yuba City, California. Yuba College is one of two colleges in the district, the other being Woodland Community College in Woodland, California. YUBA Liga
The YUBA League was the top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia and Montenegro (previously FR Yugoslavia). Founded in 1992 and folded in 2006, it was run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia and Montenegro. The name ''YUBA League'' (Yugoslav Basketball Association League) was used in Serbia and Montenegro until 2005. It consisted of the first-stage "First League", and the second-stage "Super League", with each having their own men's and women's divisions. Yuba County (; Maidu: ''Yubu'') is a county in the U.S. state of California. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the population was 81,575. The county seat is Marysville. Yuba County is included in the Yuba City, California Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Sacramento– Roseville, California Combined Statistical Area. The county is in the Central Valley region along the Feather River. Despite its name and proximity, Yuba City is in neighboring Sutter County, not Yuba County. History Yuba County was one of California's original counties, formed in 1850 at the time of statehood.
