Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd
Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Llangynwyd is the borough of Bridgend's only Welsh medium secondary school. The school opened on 3 September 2008 on the site of the former Maesteg Comprehensive Upper School in Llangynwyd. In 2015, the school had 607 pupils across six year groups, from Year 7 to Year 13 - its full complement of year groups. The school was expected to have around 770 pupils by 2023. Brackla
Brackla ( cy, Bracla) is a large housing estate and community in the east of Bridgend in Bridgend County Borough, Wales. Along with the communities of Bridgend and Coychurch Lower, it makes up the town of Bridgend. At the 2001 census the community of Brackla had a population of 10,113, increasing to 11,749 at the 2011 Census, making up nearly a quarter of Bridgend's population. Owen Watkin (born 12 October 1996) is a Wales international rugby union player who plays for Ospreys regional team as a centre. Club career A product of the Ospreys Academy, he signed his first professional contract with his home region in 2016 having also featured for his hometown team, Bridgend Ravens. Having made his regional debut for the Ospreys in September, 2015 as an 18-year-old, he has developed into a mainstay at the Liberty Stadium. Bettws, Bridgend
Bettws , ( cy, Betws) is a small ex-mining and farming village in the South Wales Valleys in the county borough of Bridgend, Wales. Bettws is also an electoral ward to the county council. Bryngarw Country Park is approximately one mile away, with a footpath leading there from the village. The village is around 3 miles away from Junction 36 on the M4 Motorway, and is located to the west of Llangeinor and to the north of Brynmenyn. Cornelly (Welsh: ''Corneli'') is a community and electoral ward in Bridgend County Borough, South Wales. As of 2011 the population of the Cornelly ward was 7,059. Cornelly was created following ''The Bridgend (Cynffig, Cornelly and Pyle Communities) (Electoral Changes) Order 2002'' which divided Cynffig into Cornelly and Pyle (divided by the mainline railway).
