Park Yun-a (; born October 8, 1994), better known as Yoyomi (), is a South Korean trot singer-songwriter and actress. Early life Park was born on October 8, 1994 in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, South Korea. She is a graduate of Cheongju Girls' High School. As a child, she became interested in trot music from her father, who is a trot singer, and from hearing veteran singer Haeeunlee on the radio. In 2005, Park won the grand prize in the KBS ''Open Children's Song World'' competition. Career Park released her first single, "Sorry Sorry," on July 23, 2013, using the stage name Yun-A, but the song was not successful. She made her debut as Yoyomi on February 23, 2018, with the single album ''First Story'' ( ko, 첫번째 이야기), featuring the title track "Who's That Guy" (). She is said to be'Happy-Virus, Singing Fairy, Yomi yomi Yoyomi'. Her main genre is trot, but she sings various genres of songs such as ballad, dance, R&B, Rock, and POP. Her nickname ...

Trot (, ) is a genre of Korean popular music, known for its use of repetitive rhythm and vocal inflections. Originating during the Korea under Japanese rule, Japanese occupation of Korea in the first half of the 20th century, trot was influenced by many genres of Music of Korea, Korean, Music of Japan, Japanese, Music of the United States, American, and Culture of Europe#Music, European music. Trot has been around for almost 100 years and its distinct singing style has been continuously evolving. Trot music developed in rhythms during Japanese colonial rule.
