Youth Campus Basel
The Stiftung Nachwuchs Campus Basel, in English foundation Youth Campus Basel, was brought to life by Gigi Oeri in 2010, with the aim of continuously developing FC Basel’s youth division on a long-term basis. The foundation is registered with the Swiss company register. The foundation built and now runs the campus grounds; they rebuilt and run the ''Wohnhuus'' and they aid in the administration of the youth department. The foundation aids in the integral training and promotion of young football talents. FC Basel’s youth department enjoys superior status. Since FC Basel moved into the newly built St. Jakob-Park in 2001, over 40 youth players have advanced to their first team. Many of these players later moved onto top European clubs, as example, the following players; Marco Streller, Philipp und David Degen, Ivan Rakitic, Xherdan Shaqiri, Granit Xhaka Breel Embolo and Yann Sommer. Gigi Oeri
Gisela "Gigi" Oeri (born 1955) is a Swiss people, Swiss-Germany, German football chairwoman and philanthropist born 8 November 1955 in Schopfheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. She was the chairwoman of FC Basel from 2006 until 2012. At the club's Extraordinary General Assembly on 16 January 2012 the 601 attending members appointed Oeri as honorary president. Oeri is a trained physiotherapist although she no longer practices. She is married to Andreas Oeri, one of the heirs of the Basel pharmaceutical company F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG. According to the business magazine Bilanz the couple are the richest Switzerland, Swiss people. Oeri is heavily involved financially with the Dollhouse Museum, Puppenhausmuseum, the largest collection of teddy bears in Europe. Albian Hajdari (born 18 May 2003) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as defender for Swiss Super League club Lugano, on loan from Juventus. Career Hajdari first played for local club FC Aesch and moved to Basel's youth academy in 2014. He joined FC Basel's first team directly from their U-18 team for their 2020–21 season under head coach Ciriaco Sforza. Orges Naser Bunjaku (born 5 July 2001) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Schaffhausen. Born in Switzerland, he represented that nation at youth international levels but in 2022 switched to play for Kosovo national team.
