Neil Percival Young (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. After embarking on a music career in Winnipeg in the 1960s, Young moved to Los Angeles, joining Buffalo Springfield with Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and others. "Dance, Dance, Dance" is a song written by Neil Young that first appeared on Crazy Horse's debut album '' Crazy Horse'' in 1971. Young composed the song on November 12, 1964—his 19th birthday—at the Victoria Hotel in Fort William, Ontario (now Thunder Bay), where he had been touring with his Winnipeg band the Squires. "Down by the River" is a song composed by Neil Young. It was first released on his 1969 album with Crazy Horse, ''Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere''.
