Young@Heart
Young@Heart, also Young@Heart Chorus, is an entertainment group created by and for the elderly, comprised at present of people at least 70 years of age. Some have prior professional theater or music experience, others have performed at amateur level, and some have no experience whatsoever. They are particularly noted for their unconventional covers of rock, punk, and other modern pop music songs. Founded in 1982 in Northampton, Massachusetts, by Bob Cilman, the members all lived in an elderly housing project, The Walter Salvo House. The first group included elders who lived through both World Wars. One had fought in the Battle of the Somme as a 16-year-old and another, Anna Main, a stand-up comic, lost her husband in the First World War. Main stayed with the group until she was 100 years old. ''Young@Heart'' is a 2007 United Kingdom, British documentary film directed by Stephen Walker (filmmaker), Stephen Walker. It is about Young@Heart Chorus, Young@Heart, a New England choir, chorus of senior citizens that sings contemporary and classic rock and pop songs, and their rehearsals for a new show. Synopsis Young@Heart Chorus, Young@Heart, a choir, chorus of twenty-four senior citizens with an average age of eighty, is directed by the genial, but demanding, Bob Cilman. "Fix You" is a song by British rock band Coldplay. It was written by all four members of the band for their third studio album, '' X&Y'' (2005). It was released on 5 September 2005 as the second single from ''X&Y'' and reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart. The song reached number 18 in the United States '' Billboard'' Hot Modern Rock Tracks. Promo singles were released for the UK and US. The song was started by Chris Martin to comfort his then-wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who he met in late 2002 after her father died. The track is built around an organ accompanied by piano and guitar in the first half and an alternative rock style in the second half featuring electric guitar, bass and drums. The hopeful message of the song, and its two-part acoustic/anthemic arrangement, was critically acclaimed. Coldplay
