Youmex
was an anime production company and record label (under their label Futureland) established in 1985 as a subsidiary of Toshiba EMI and founded by Junji Fujita (formerly of King Records). The company was absorbed back into Toshiba EMI in 1998, after taking on debt defaulted on by Artmic. Some of the more well-known works for which Youmex released soundtracks and other CDs (under its Futureland label) include ''Kimagure Orange Road'' (''Sound Color'' 1–3, ''Loving Heart'', etc.), ''Bubblegum Crisis'' (''Complete Vocal Collections'' 1–2), and '' Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water'' (''Vocal Collection''). In 1995, Youmex worked with Adam Warren through Dark Horse Comics and Artmic to come up with the original concept for '' Bubblegum Crisis: Grand Mal'', an original English-language manga series. Idol Defense Force Hummingbird
is a two-volume Japanese light novel series written by Hitoshi Yoshioka that tells the very offbeat tale of five idol singer/fighter pilot sisters. It was adapted into an anime series consisting of 4 OVA episodes that ran from 1993 to 1995. Synopsis One day in the near future, the Japanese Self-Defense Force decides to transfer the command (and financing) of their air force to private companies and investors. Bubblegum Crisis
is a 1987 to 1991 cyberpunk original video animation (OVA) series produced by Youmex and animated by Anime International Company, AIC and Artmic. The series was planned to run for 13 episodes, but was cut short to just 8. The series involves the adventures of the Knight Sabers, an all-female group of mercenaries who don powered exoskeletons and fight numerous problems, most frequently rogue robots. is a romantic comedy boxing and softball manga by Mitsuru Adachi. It was serialized by Shogakukan in the shōjo manga magazine '' Ciao'' from September 1986 through March 1991, and collected in seven tankōbon volumes. In 1991, it was adapted as a five-episode OVA. The Secret Of Blue Water
is a Japanese anime television series inspired by the works of Jules Verne, particularly ''Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea'' and the exploits of Captain Nemo. Earthian
is a yaoi manga by Yun Kouga. It is about angel watchers of earth which was made into a J.C.Staff-produced anime OVA. The angels' roles are to assess the progress of humans giving them positive and negative scores based on their everyday actions. The angels, who have deemed that the Earthian are becoming far too destructive, decide that if the Earthian reach 10,000 negative marks instead of positive, then their world will be destroyed. While there are many sets of positive/negative partner teams that have descended on Earth to carry out their investigations, the story focuses on a single pair that, due to the carelessness (or perhaps over-caring nature) of one, causes both to end up in trying circumstances multiple times throughout their stay on Earth.
