You Got Served (soundtrack)
''You Got Served: Music from the Motion Picture'' is the soundtrack to the 2004 film, ''You Got Served''. It was released on December 23, 2003 through Epic Records and mostly consisted of songs performed by B2K, but various other artists also appeared on the soundtrack. The soundtrack was a decent success, making it to 34 on the ''Billboard'' 200, 7 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and 2 on the Top Soundtracks. One single made it to the Billboard charts, "Badaboom" performed by B2K and Fabolous made it to 59 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. This is the last album B2K made together before their break up in 2004 and before coming back in 2018. Contemporary R&B
Contemporary R&B (or simply R&B) is a popular music genre that combines rhythm and blues with elements of pop, soul, funk, hip hop, and electronic music. The genre features a distinctive record production style, drum machine-backed rhythms, pitch corrected vocals, and a smooth, lush style of vocal arrangement. Electronic influences are becoming an increasing trend and the use of hip hop or dance-inspired beats are typical, although the roughness and grit inherent in hip hop may be reduced and smoothed out. Contemporary R&B vocalists often use melisma, and since the mid-1980s, R&B rhythms have been combined with elements of hip hop culture and music and pop culture and pop music. Jhené Aiko
Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo (; born March 16, 1988) is an American singer who embarked on her music career contributing vocals and appearing in several music videos for R&B group B2K. In an effort to promote Aiko and cultivate a following for her, she was marketed as B2K member Lil' Fizz's cousin; she is not actually related to him. In 2003, Aiko was set to release her debut album, ''My Name Is Jhené'', through her labels Sony, The Ultimate Group and Epic; however, the album was never released, and Aiko asked to be released from the label in order to continue her education. In March 2011, Aiko made her return to music with the release of her first full-length project, a mixtape titled ''Sailing Soul(s)''. Aston George Taylor Jr. (born August 5, 1968), professionally known as Funkmaster Flex, is an American DJ, rapper, record producer, and host on New York City's Hot 97 radio station. ATL was an R&B group from Atlanta, Georgia. The Vocalists were Trè'Kas "Tré" Simms, Marvin "Will" Williams, Lawrence "L-Rock" Gibbs and Rapper Cory "Danger" Griffin. They had enlisted R. Kelly to produce their debut album ''The ATL Project'', released in July 2004.
