Albert Dominique, better known as Don Albert (August 5, 1908, New Orleans – January 1980, San Antonio, Texas) was an American jazz trumpeter and bandleader. Albert's uncle was Natty Dominique. He got his start playing in parade brass bands in New Orleans at the beginning of the 1920s. He toured with the territory band of Alphonse Trent in 1925, then played with Troy Floyd at the Shadowland Ballroom in San Antonio from 1926 to 1929. Albert led his own territory bands out of Texas in the 1930s and 1940s, with sidemen that included Alvin Alcorn, Louis Cottrell, Jr., and Herb Hall. After 1932 he acted more in a manager's capacity than as a performer. His bands played in Mexico and Canada, and won positive reviews from newspapers, but recorded only eight sides. He disbanded this group around 1937 due to economic conditions, and found work in civil service and managing a nightclub called the Keyhole Club in San Antonio in the early ... Lloyd Glenn
Lloyd Colquitt Glenn (November 21, 1909 – May 23, 1985) was an American R&B pianist, bandleader and arranger, who was a pioneer of the "West Coast" blues style. Career Born in San Antonio, Texas, from the late 1920s, Glenn played with various jazz bands in the Dallas and San Antonio areas, first recording in 1936 with Don Albert's Orchestra. He moved to California in 1941, joining the Walter Johnson trio in 1944, and finding employment as a session musician and arranger. He accompanied T-Bone Walker on his 1947 hit "Call It Stormy Monday", and later the same year made his own first solo records, billed as Lloyd Glenn and His Joymakers. In 1949 he joined Swing Time Records as A&R man, and recorded a number of hits with Lowell Fulson, including "Everyday I Have the Blues" and the #1 R&B hit "Blue Shadows". "You Don't Love Me" is the fourth digital single released by South Korean pop band Spica. It was released on January 27, 2014 under B2M Entertainment with distribution through CJ E&M Music and Live. Production The single followed their August 2013 "Tonight", as well as their feature as the subject of the reality television show "Lee Hyori X Unnie". The song is a continuation of that relationship between artist and company colleague Lee Hyori. The song's lyrics were co-written with Lee Hyori and member, Kim Boa, with the original composition being completed by Lee Hyori. It marked the first single in which Lee Hyori compose, write and produce a song for Spica. The song is arranged by Kim Do-Hyun. Although a December 2013 release was scheduled, many lyrics were edited and re-recorded due to potential censorship.
