You Are My Sunshine (2005 Film)
''You Are My Sunshine'' (, literally: "You are my destiny") is a 2005 South Korean film written and directed by Park Jin-pyo, and starring Jeon Do-yeon. It was released in Korea on 23 September 2005. The official English title is named after the Jimmie Davis song "You Are My Sunshine," which is used on the soundtrack. Plot Seok-joong, a farmer in his mid thirties, is desperate to find a wife and settle down. After backing out of a scheme to set him up with a Filipino bride, he falls head over heels in love with a local dabang delivery girl, Eun-ha, and starts showering her with gifts. Although Eun-ha is initially unimpressed, she is eventually won over by his kindhearted nature, and the two get married. The couple's marital bliss is short lived, however, as Eun-ha tests positive for HIV/AIDS, and is then tracked down by her abusive ex-husband, which forces her to run away and fall back into prostitution. Park Jin-pyo
Park Jin-pyo (born 1966) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. He directed ''Too Young to Die'' (2002), ''You Are My Sunshine (2005 film), You Are My Sunshine'' (2005), ''Voice of a Murderer'' (2007), ''Closer to Heaven (film), Closer to Heaven'' (2009), and ''Love Forecast'' (2015). Career Park Jin-pyo was born in Seoul in 1966. Hwang Jung-min (born September 1, 1970) is a South Korean actor. The Korean Film Awards was a South Korean film awards ceremony hosted by the broadcasting network MBC from 2002 to 2010. History Originally named the MBC Film Awards, the ceremony was first established in 2002. It was renamed the Korean Film Awards in 2003. Votes were determined from a jury of 500 film professionals and 500 viewers selected through the internet, using a 7:3 ratio.
