"You're Sixteen" is a song written by the Sherman Brothers (Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman). It was first performed by American rockabilly singer Johnny Burnette, whose version peaked at number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in December 1960 and number 3 in the UK in 1961. The song was covered by Ringo Starr in 1973 and this version reached number one in the US. Johnny Burnette
John Joseph Burnette (March 25, 1934 – August 14, 1964) was an American singer and songwriter of rockabilly and pop music. In 1952, Johnny and his brother, Dorsey Burnette, and their mutual friend Paul Burlison formed the band that became known as the Rock and Roll Trio. His career was cut short on August 14, 1964, when he was killed in a boat crash at age 30. He is the father of 1980s rockabilly singer Rocky Burnette. Early life Johnny Burnette was born to Willie May and Dorsey Burnett Sr. in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. (The "e" at the end of his name was added later.) "Oh My My" is a song by English musician Ringo Starr from his 1973 album '' Ringo''. It was also issued as the third single from the album, becoming a top-five hit in the United States and Canada. Richard Van Perry (born June 18, 1942) is an American record producer. He began as a performer in his adolescence while attending Poly Prep, his high school in Brooklyn. After graduating from college he rose through the late 1960s and early 1970s to become a successful and popular record producer with more than 12 gold records to his credit by 1982. Herman Clebanoff (May 2, 1917 – January 13, 2004) was an American concert violinist and conductor. Background Herman Clebanoff was born on May 2, 1917, in Chicago, Illinois, to his Russian immigrant parents. Starting violin lessons at the budding age of five, Clebanoff was seen as a child prodigy. Two years after receiving musical lessons, he had his first recital. Clebanoff's musical talents expanded throughout high school, when he acted as first chair violinist in a plethora of string quartets. Clebanoff was also an accomplished concertmaster. By the young age of 20, Clebanoff had already achieved the status of Concert Master for the Chicago Civic Orchestra's, as well as being the Chicago Symphony's youngest member. Jerry Ivan Allison (August 31, 1939 – August 22, 2022) was an American musician, best known as the drummer for the Crickets and co-writer of their hits "That'll Be the Day" and "Peggy Sue", recorded with Buddy Holly. His only solo chart entry on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 was "Real Wild Child", issued in 1958 under the name Ivan. Allison was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
