Yosvany Veitía Soto (also spelled Yosbany, born 12 March 1992) is a Cuban amateur boxer in the light flyweight division who competed at the 2012 Olympics. He is a southpaw. Career At the 2010 Youth World Amateur Boxing Championships he won Bronze. At the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships (results) he beat Birzhan Zhakypov and two unknowns but was stopped by Mongolian defending champion Pürevdorjiin Serdamba. At the 2011 Pan American Games (results) he lost the final to local Joselito Velazquez. At the 2012 Summer Olympics (results) he beat Australian Billy Ward 26:4, then lost to eventual winner Zou Shiming 10:13. Caibarién is a municipality city in the Villa Clara Province, Villa Clara province of Cuba. Caibarién is known as "La Villa Blanca" () for its sands and beaches. Zou Shiming (; born 18 May 1981) is a Chinese former professional boxer who competed from 2013 to 2017 and held the WBO flyweight title from 2016 to 2017. As an amateur, Zou is China's most successful boxer of all time. In the light-flyweight division, he won three consecutive Olympic medals (bronze in 2004 and gold in 2008 and 2012), as well as three World Amateur Boxing Championships gold medals in 2005, 2007 and 2011. Billy Ward (boxer)
William Ward (16 July 1993 – 4 August 2013) was an Australian amateur boxer selected for the 2012 Summer Olympics in the light flyweight division. Career Ward began his sporting career as a gymnast, winning a Queensland junior title in 2004. He switched to boxing in 2006 and the following year won an Australian junior title. His boxing was curtailed by Ross River Fever in 2008 but he fought on and in 2011 he made the semifinals of the Australian Under 19 championships as a flyweight. The following year, he stepped up to open competition and dropped a weight division to light flyweight. Birzhan Zhakypov (born July 7, 1984) is an amateur boxer from Kazakhstan, best known for winning the light flyweight gold medal at the 2013 World Amateur Boxing Championship. The 2010 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships were held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from April 25 to May 3, 2010. It was the second edition of the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships which had taken over from the Junior World Championship.
