Yoshitoki Ōima
is a Japanese manga artist and writer, best known for her manga series '' A Silent Voice'' and ''To Your Eternity''. Life Ōima was born on March 15, 1989 in Ōgaki, Japan as the third daughter of a sign language interpreter mother and has an older sister and an older brother. Due to her mother's work as a sign language interpreter Ōima was inspired to write the ''A Silent Voice'' manga series where she got help by her mother and her sister working on the series. Her first manga was Mardock Scramble which was an adaptation of the same-named novel written by Tow Ubukata and was released in 2009. She was also responsible for an illustration of the ending sequence of the ninth episode of Attack on Titan. After her success with ''A Silent Voice'' Yoshitoki Ōima worked alongside other manga artists on a collaboration manga called Ore no 100-wame!!. Ōgaki Castle is a city located in Gifu, Japan. , the city had an estimated population of 161,539, and a population density of 782 persons per km2 in 65,931 households. The total area of the city was . Ōgaki was the final destination for the haiku poet Matsuo Bashō on one of his long journeys as recounted in his book ''Oku no Hosomichi''. The is a Japanese comics award recognizing achievement in manga. It is awarded annually to a manga series published in the previous calendar year of eight or fewer collected volumes in length. The Manga Taishō was founded with the aim of recognizing new and relatively unestablished manga, and to provide a platform to promote these works to new readers. To this end, the prize utilizes a judging criteria of recognizing manga one would "want to recommend to friends", rather than a strictly meritocratic evaluation of artistic excellence. The prize is presented by the Manga Taishō Executive Committee, a volunteer group of roughly one hundred "manga lovers from all walks of life", primarily bookstore workers who manage in-store manga sections.
