York Region Shooters
York Region Shooters is a Canadian soccer team, that plays in the Canadian Soccer League. The Shooters played their home games at the St. Joan of Arc Turf Field in the City of Vaughan, Ontario. The team's colours were blue and white, mirroring those of the Italy national football team and reflecting the cultural heritage of the club. The club had also competed under various different names as Vaughan Sun Devils, Vaughan Shooters, Italia Shooters, and finally as York Region Shooters. They were formed in 2003 as the merger of two rival clubs in York Region: the Glen Shields Sun Devils and the original York Region Shooters. Vaughan () (2021 population 323,103) is a city in Ontario, Canada. It is located in the Regional Municipality of York, just north of Toronto. CPSL Championship
The Canadian Soccer League championship final or CSL Championship is the post-season match of the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) and is the successor to the CNSL Championship. The winner is crowned champion in the same manner as in other North American sports leagues (i.e. via a playoff following a regular season). This differs from other top soccer leagues around the world which consider the club with the most points at the end of the season to be the sole champion. It is a Non-FIFA championship match that was previously sanctioned by the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) but is now affiliated with the Soccer Federation of Canada (SFC). Esther Shiner Stadium is a multi-purpose outdoor sports facility in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former city of North York, on the north-west corner of Bathurst Street and Finch Avenue West. Serbian White Eagles FC
Serbian White Eagles Football Club ( sr, Фудбалски клуб Српски бели орлови / ''Fudbalski klub Srpski beli orlovi'') is a Canadian soccer team. The team is a member of the Canadian Soccer League, an unsanctioned soccer league. The team's home kit is all white commemorating the white double-headed eagle which appears on the Serbian flag while the away colours are red-blue-white commemorating the tricolour of the Serbian flag. The Canadian Soccer League Awards is an annual awards ceremony for several individual performances at the end of the season. The event was established in 1998, when the Canadian National Soccer League merged with the stillborn Ontario Professional Soccer League to form the Canadian Professional Soccer League. Brampton United
Brampton City United FC is a Canadian soccer team, founded in 2002. The team plays in the Lika Supergroup Open Division. The club plays out of Victoria Park Stadium in the community of Brampton, Ontario. The Metro Lions were the second club from Scarborough, Toronto to join the Canadian Professional Soccer League in 2002. In their debut season, the team was an instant threat to the established clubs in the league finishing runners up in their division, and reaching the semi-finals in the postseason. The Lions struggled in their sophomore season, but rebounded the following season. Stuart Black (soccer)
Stuart Black (born June 2, 1975) is a Nigerian-born Canadian former soccer player who began his career in the Canadian National Soccer League, and finished off his career in the USL A-League, and the Canadian Professional Soccer League. Playing career Black began his career with Toronto Supra of the Canadian National Soccer League in 1996. He helped Supra finish with a third-place finish in the league standings, and secured a playoff position. Their opponents were St. Catharines Wolves in the semi-finals, but were eliminated from the completion with a 2-1 defeat on goals on aggregate. In 1999, he signed with Detroit Rockers of the National Professional Soccer League, where he would have a three-year term and finished with 51 appearances and six goals to his name. Darryl Gomez
Darryl Gomez (born October 21, 1977) is a Trinidadian-Kittitian former footballer and manager. Gomez began playing football at the college level in 1996 with the Winthrop Eagles. After his completing his scholarship in 2000 he played in the USL A-League with the Richmond Kickers, and the Toronto Lynx. Following his time in the A-League and NPSL he played in the Canadian Professional Soccer League (later renamed Canadian Soccer League) with several different clubs, and would eventually conclude his playing career in the league. Throughout his tenure within the CPSL/CSL his most notable accolade was winning the CSL Championship in 2008 with the Serbian White Eagles. Carmine Isacco (born September 20, 1970) is a Canadian soccer coach and retired player. He is currently the head coach for the York Lions varsity men's soccer team of the OUA. Playing career College years In 1989, Isacco entered the University of Maryland, College Park where he was a Soccer America Magazine freshman All-American goalkeeper. Over his four seasons with the Terrapins, he was named to the All-ACC first team three times and was the Terrapins team captain as a senior in 1992.
