Philip Yordan
Philip Yordan (April 1, 1914 – March 24, 2003) was an American screenwriter of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s who produced several films. He acted as a front for blacklisted writers although his use of surrogate screenwriters predates the McCarthy era. His actual contributions to the scripts he is credited with writing is controversial and he was known to some as a credit-grabber. Born to Polish immigrants, he earned degrees from both University of Illinois and Chicago-Kent College of Law. Early life Philip Yordan was born to Polish Jewish immigrants on April 1, 1914 in Chicago. From a young age he had taken an interest in writing. As a teenager, he ran a mail-order beauty supply business out of the family basement. Yordan was an avid fan of detective stories; he contemplated a career as a writer. Yordan Todorov ( bg, Йордан Тодоров; born 27 July 1981, in Plovdiv) is a Bulgarian footballer who currently plays for German club ESV Regensburg. Mainly a right midfielder, he can also operate as a right back. Career Youth career Todorov was raised in Maritsa Plovdiv's youth teams. He stayed there for 7 years, before he left in 2000. Yordan Radichkov ( bg, Йордан Радичков; 24 October 1929 – 21 January 2004) was a Bulgarian writer and playwright. Literary critics Adelina Angusheva and Galin Tihanov called him "arguably the most significant voice of Bulgarian literature in the last third of the 20th century". Some literary critics have referred to him as the Bulgarian Kafka or Gogol. Radichkov is widely known for his numerous short stories, novels and plays. Yordan Piperkata ( bg, Йордан Пиперката, mk, Јордан Пиперката; 1870–1903) originally born as Yordan Piperkov ( bg, Йордан Пиперков; mk, Јордан Пиперков), was a revolutionary from Ottoman Macedonia in the early 20th century, member of the Supreme Macedonian-Adrianople Committee and later a member of the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization ( first name disputed). Life He was born in Kozica, Ottoman Empire (today in Kičevo Municipality, North Macedonia) to a poor family. He could not graduate at the Bulgarian secondary school in Bitola, because his family moved to Sofia, Bulgaria, where he met insurgents from the Kresna-Razlog Uprising and other voivodes. Yordan Petkov ( bg, Йордан Петков) (born 11 March 1976 in Veliko Tarnovo) is a former Bulgarian football defender who also used to be assistant coach of Slavia Sofia under Martin Kushev.
