Yoon Kuk Lee
Yoon Kuk Lee (; born August 24, 1953) is a South Korean-born Austrian Composer and conductor. Education Lee was born in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea to a musical family. His earliest music instruction was given to him by his mother. He immigrated to New York with his family as a teenager where he graduated from high school and then enrolled at Williams College, earning a degree, summa cum laude, in philosophy and music in 1976. Lee relocated to Austria for post-graduate studies in conducting and composition at the Salzburg University of Dramatic Arts, Salzburg Mozarteum University of Music, under the tutelage and mentoring of renowned teachers Sándor Végh, Gerhard Wimberger, Nikolaus Harnoncourt and Herbert von Karajan. Gongju
Gongju ([]; Gongju-si) is a city in South Chungcheong province, South Korea. History Gongju was formerly named Ungjin and was the capital of Baekje from AD 475 to 538. In this period, Baekje was under threat from Goguryeo. Goguryeo had overrun the previous capital of Hanseong (modern-day Seoul), which forced Baekje to find a new center of strength. In 538, King Seong moved the capital to Sabi (in modern-day Buyeo County). However, Gongju remained an important center until the kingdom's fall in 660. New capital On August 11, 2004, the South Korean Prime Minister Lee Hae-chan announced that the country's capital will be moved from Seoul to Gongju (approximately south of Seoul) and Yeongi commencing in 2007. Cyprien Katsaris
Cyprien Katsaris ( el, Κυπριανός Κατσαρής; born 5 May 1951) is a French-Cypriot virtuoso pianist, teacher and composer. Amongst his teachers were Monique de la Bruchollerie, a student of Emil von Sauer, who had been a pupil of Franz Liszt. He is known for his refined sound, command of voicing, and virtually effortless physical mastery of technique. He is particularly notable as the first pianist to record the complete Liszt transcriptions of Beethoven's nine symphonies. Biography Katsaris was born in Marseilles, France. Katsaris first began to play the piano when he was four, in Cameroon where he grew up. His first teacher was Marie-Gabrielle Louwerse. Reinhard Schwabenitzky (23 April 1947 – 9 February 2022) was an Austrian film director, producer and screenwriter. Life and career Reinhard Schwabenitzky was born in his maternal grandmother's pub in the remote hamlet of Bucheben, a long walk along the valley to the south of Rauris, which is a small town in the mountains of the State of Salzburg, positioned an hour or so by car (in the summers) to the south of Salzburg itself. Gerhard Klingenberg, his father, was an actor. He would later describe his childhood as short of material benefits, but happy. During his early school years there was still no electricity supply.
