Yolanda Varela
Yolanda Varela was a Mexican actress. Born in Mexico City on 30 March 1930, she started acting at a very early age. She studied ballet in the National Institute of the Performing Arts. Varela was the leading actress in many Mexican films and some Spanish/Mexican co-productions. Among her more important films were: ''Dos tipos de cuidado'' (1953), ''Llamas Contra el Viento'' and ''El Niño y el Muro'' (1965). She co-starred with such actors as Daniel Gélin, Arturo de Córdova, Jorge Mistral, Manolo Fabregas, Ernesto Alonso, Pedro Vargas, Fernando Soler, Resortes, Clavillazo, German Valdez Tintan Enrique Rambal, Miguel Aceves Mejía, Joaquín Cordero, among others. Personal life and death She met her husband, the film producer Fernando de Fuentes Reyes, while working for him on the movie ''Lo que le Paso a Sanson''. She died on 29 August 2009 of natural causes. The Golden Age of Mexican cinema ( es, Época de Oro del Cine Mexicano) is a period in the history of the Cinema of Mexico between 1930 and 1969 when the Mexican film industry reached high levels of production, quality and economic success of its films, besides having gained recognition internationally. It began with the film ''Allá en el Rancho Grande'' (1936), directed by Fernando de Fuentes. In 1939, during World War II, the film industry in the US and Europe declined, because the materials previously destined for film production now were for the new arms industry. ''La Casa del Terror'' () is a Mexican Monster movie starring Lon Chaney Jr. and Mexican comedian Tin Tan. The film involves Casimiro (Tin-Tan), a night watchman in a Wax Museum, whose boss, Professor Sebastian (Yerye Beirute), has been secretly draining his blood to use in his experiments in raising the dead. A mummy (Lon Chaney Jr.) who is stolen from an Egyptian sarcophagus is revived to life, and becomes a werewolf when moonlight hits him. Joaquín Cordero
Joaquín Cordero (; August 16, 1922 – February 19, 2013) was a Mexican actor of the cinema, theatre and telenovelas. Biography Shortly after his birth, Cordero's family moved to Mexico City, and in the following years he studied in a seminary and even considered becoming a priest, but eventually he decided to pursue a law career. After three years of law classes, against his family's wishes he decided to become an actor. He initially appeared in small roles but by his early fifties he was getting much larger roles. Eventually he became one of the most popular actors in Mexican cinema. Cordero also shown appeared in theatre and on television and in the latter medium in numerous telenovelas and winning numerous awards. His most recent telenovelas included '' La Madrastra'' and ''Destilando Amor''.
