The Yokohama Giga Spirits are a Japanese corporate basketball team based in Yokohama, Kanagawa. History Akita Isuzu Motors 1955-1987 Akita Isuzu Motors basketball team was founded by Shozaburo Makinae in 1955. Makinae currently serves as a director and corporate adviser for the Akita Northern Happinets of B.League. They practiced at Sannoh Junior High School gymnasium in 1960's and 1970's. Japan Basketball League
The Japan Basketball League (JBL) was a professional basketball league in Japan. It made up the top-tier of basketball in Japan alongside the bj league, Japan's other basketball competition, with no promotion and relegation between bj and the JBL. The JBL was composed of two divisions, the JBL (Division 1, formerly ''JBL Super League'') and the JBL2 (Division 2, formerly ''Japan League''). In June 2012, the Japan Basketball Association announced the establishment of the National Basketball League (NBL) as the topflight professional league in Japan. Dave Butler (born ) is an American businessman and former professional basketball player. He is the co-chief executive officer (CEO) of Dimensional Fund Advisors, a global investment firm based in Austin, Texas. Basketball High School and College Butler played basketball at Rolling Hills High School in Rolling Hills Estates in Los Angeles County, California. His father and brother were alumni of Loyola Marymount University, who recruited Butler to play college basketball. However, Butler chose to play for the California Golden Bears. Butler began his Cal career being named the Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 1983. Under first-year coach Lou Campanelli, the Bears qualified for the 1986 NIT, the school's first postseason appearance since 1960. Butler led the team that season in rebounding with 7.9 per game, and was second in scoring (11.8) behind Kevin Johnson. Obinna Julius Nwosu (born May 1, 1971), is a Nigerian former professional basketball player. He played briefly for the American National Basketball Association's San Antonio Spurs during the 1994–95 NBA season. He also had a career in the Lebanese Basketball League and the Philippine Basketball Association. Playing career Born in Nkwere, Nigeria, Nwosu attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Terry Linnard Dozier (born June 29, 1966) is an American former professional basketball player and coach. He played high school basketball at Dunbar High in Baltimore and later attended the University of South Carolina, where he played from 1985 to 1989. After his collegiate playing career concluded, Dozier went undrafted in the 1989 NBA draft but signed with the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the 1989–90 season. He played nine games with the team, in which he averaged 2.4 points and 1.7 rebounds, before he was waived on November 27, 1989. As he wasn't able to secure a spot on an NBA roster the following year, Dozier went on to play the remainder of his professional career internationally.
