Yoko Kurama

picture info	Yoko Kurama is a fictional character from the manga ''YuYu Hakusho'' by Yoshihiro Togashi. A reborn as the human in modern life, is introduced as a thief who stole a supernatural mirror to save his dying mother. Although Kurama is initially portrayed as a villain, he becomes a supporting character to aid the protagonist Yusuke Urameshi in the next arc. Across his fights are revealed events from his past life as a demon, into which he becomes able to transform for a limited time. The character has also appeared in the anime adaptation, the two movies, and other related works. Kurama was modeled after a friend that Togashi found interesting. Already during his introduction Togashi planned to have him become an ally to the main characters despite being a villain. 	YuYu Hakusho is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. It follows fourteen-year-old junior high school delinquent #Yusuke Urameshi, Yusuke Urameshi, who dies and is resurrected in order to become the Underworld's detective of paranormal events in the Human World. 	Anime Grand Prix The is an annual Japanese anime awards giving to recognize the best in anime of the previous year, decided by the votes of readers of entertainment magazine ''Animage'', published by Tokuma Shoten since July 1978. The Anime Grand Prix started in 1979, and the first prize was announced at the January issue of 1980, generally announced at the next year's June issue every year. Hayao Miyazaki's internationally renowned manga, ''Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind'', was serialized in ''Animage'' from 1982 through 1994. Other titles serialized in ''Animage'' include ''Ocean Waves'' (1990–1992), a novel by Saeko Himuro, which was later made into a television movie by the same title.
