Yishun Innova Junior College (YIJC) is one of the 14 junior colleges in Singapore, offering two-year pre-university programmes for students who graduate from secondary schools after their O-level examinations. The two-year A-Level programme prepares students for education in local or foreign universities. Margaret Lee (Singaporean Actress)
Margaret Lee Mui Lin (; born 24 May 1970) is a former Singaporean actress. Lee was a Mediacorp full-time artiste from 1990 to 2000 and from 2003 to 2009. Career Lee entered the entertainment industry after placing second to Chew Chor Meng in the Star Search Competition held in year 1990. Lee first appeared in an episode of the Singapore comedy serial ''Modern Romance'' as a vampish model. Patricia Mok (born 17 October 1971) is a Chinese Singaporean actress, best known for humorous roles on ''Comedy Night'' during her stint as a JTEAM artist until 2012. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1996 to 2012. Early life Mok was educated in Ping Yi Secondary School and Yishun Junior College. Singapore Youth Festival
SYF has seen the involvement of more than 30,000 students in the activities and performances each year. History The SYF was first launched on 18 July 1967 by then President of Singapore Yusof Ishak, and was initially a two-week affair involving 24,000 students that year. The launch was part of a drive at that time to "cultivate the human resource" as espoused by then Minister for Education Ong Pang Boon, although nation-building agendas were not too distant. The SYF Art and Crafts Exhibition was introduced in 1968, and local compositions by youths we showcased, such as the composition by Cerise Lim, then a Secondary 3 Methodist Girls' School student which was performed in 1969. Sports was also featured, such as the Track and Field championships which were held since 1967. The festival grew every year in scale, until complaints that it was over-emphasised in place of academics led to its scaling down to a one-night event in 1975. Catholic Junior College (CJC) () is a junior college in Singapore, offering a two-year course for pre-university students leading to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Advanced Level examination. Founded in 1975, Catholic Junior College was the third junior college to be established in Singapore. The Hwa Chong Junior College () was a junior college in Singapore offering pre-university education. The school merged with The Chinese High School on 1 January 2005 to form the integrated Hwa Chong Institution.
