Yinchuan Metro
Yinchuan Metro is a proposed urban rail network in Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia, in Northwest China. Background Yinchuan is the capital and largest city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It has a population of over 2 million. The city has experienced a significant growth in population and economic importance over the past decades, partly because of China's Western Development strategy. Transport within and to Yinchuan has lagged behind the rest of China and nearby provincial capitals. Until completion of the Yinchuan–Xi'an high-speed railway in 2020, the city did not have any high-speed rail connections. Yinchuan (, ; ) is the capital of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China, and was the capital of the Tangut-led Western Xia dynasty. It has an area of and a total population of 2,859,074 according to the 2020 Chinese census, and its built-up area was home to 1,901,793 inhabitants spread between three urban districts. Lanzhou Metro or Lanzhou Rail Transit is a rapid transit system in Lanzhou, Gansu, China. There will be lines in operation at the end of 2022, including Line 1 (, in operation) and Line 2 (, open in 2022). The first two lines will cost about 23 billion yuan ($3.6 billion). Litong District (, Xiao'erjing: لِطْو ٿِيُوِ) is one of two districts and the seat of the city of Wuzhong in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. Lingwu (, Xiao'erjing: لِئٍوُ شِ) is a county-level city of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Southwest China, it is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Yinchuan. Yinchuan Hedong International Airport is the primary airport serving Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China. It is located southeast of downtown Yinchuan in the town of Linghe of Lingwu City. A relatively small airport compared to many airports in China, it nevertheless is the autonomous region's main aviation gateway.
