"Yes Tonight Josephine" was a popular music song from 1957. It was written by Winfield Scott and Dorothy Goodman, and was a hit single for Johnnie Ray. Chart performance Ray's recording was produced by Mitch Miller, and in the US, peaked at number 12 on the Most Played by Jockeys chart. Outside the US, "Yes Tonight Josephine" gave Ray his third and final number 1 hit in the UK Singles Chart. The Jets (British Band)
The Jets are a United Kingdom, British rockabilly musical ensemble, band, who had two charting singles in the early 1980s with "Yes Tonight Josephine" and "Love Makes the World Go Round". The songs reached numbers 25 and 21 respectively in the UK Single Chart, both tracks featured on their album, ''100% Cotton''. The band scored six other minor chart entries, but none managed to make the top 40. The Jets consists of three brothers, Bob Cotton (the eldest - double bass and lead vocals), Ray Cotton (the middle - lead Guitar and lead and backing vocals) and Tony Cotton (the youngest - drums and backing vocals). The band continues to tour the club and Rockabilly circuit both in the UK and abroad and is still producing albums. ''British Hit Singles & Albums'' (originally known as ''The Guinness Book of British Hit Singles'' and ''The Guinness Book of British Hit Albums'') was a music reference book originally published in the United Kingdom by the publishing arm of the Guinness breweries, Guinness Superlatives. Later editions were published by HiT Entertainment (who had bought the Guinness World Records brand). It listed all the singles and albums featured in the Top 75 pop charts in the UK. In 2004 the book became an amalgamation of two earlier Guinness publications, originally known as ''British Hit Singles'' and ''British Hit Albums''. The publication of this amalgamation ceased in 2006, with Guinness World Records being sold to The Jim Pattison Group, owner of ''Ripley's Believe It or Not!''. Mitchell William Miller (July 4, 1911 – July 31, 2010) was an American choral conductor, record producer, record-industry executive, and professional oboist. He was involved in almost all aspects of the industry, particularly as a conductor and artists and repertoire (A&R) man.
