Yen Han (dancer)
Yen Han (Chinese 韩海燕) is a principal soloist of Ballett Zürich. In addition to her career as a ballerina, she serves as artistic director and choreographer for her own ballet school, theYen Han Dance Center, in Zürich, Switzerland. Her repertoire consists of leading parts in great ballets from the classical period such as ''Giselle'', ''La fille mal gardée, La Sylphide, Swan Lake'', and ''The Nutcracker'', as well as solo parts in ballets from the 20th and 21st centuries, many of which were world premieres. Youth and education Yen Han was raised in Los Angeles as part of an artistic family from China. Christopher Peter Wheeldon OBE (born 22 March 1973) is an English international choreographer of contemporary ballet. Life and career Born in Yeovil, Somerset, to an engineer and a physical therapist, Wheeldon began training to be a ballet dancer at the age of 8. Jorma Uotinen
Jorma Leo Kalevi Uotinen (born 28 June 1950 in Pori) is a Finnish dancer, singer and choreographer. As a dancer and choreographer, Uotinen has worked both in many dance groups, both in and outside of Finland, since 1970. He has received many Finnish and international awards and honours in his career. He was a dancer with the Finnish National Ballet 1970–1976, and in 1976 he was invited by director Carolyn Carlson to join the Groupe de recherche Theatrales at l'Opera de Paris, where he worked until 1980. Twyla Tharp
Twyla Tharp (; born July 1, 1941) is an American dancer, choreographer, and author who lives and works in New York City. In 1966 she formed the company Twyla Tharp Dance. Her work often uses classical music, jazz, and contemporary pop music. From 1971 to 1988, Twyla Tharp Dance toured extensively around the world, performing original works. In 1973 Tharp choreographed ''Deuce Coupe'' to the music of The Beach Boys for the Joffrey Ballet. ''Deuce Coupe'' is considered the first "crossover ballet", a mix of ballet and modern dance. After a long career as a ballet dancer and company director, he is now widely considered to be one of the foremost European choreographers of his time. Lin Hwai-min (; born 19 February 1947) is a Taiwanese dancer, writer, choreographer, and founder of Cloud Gate Dance Theater of Taiwan. Biography Family Lin was born in Xingang, Chiayi. He came from an intellectual family. His great-grandfather was a poet and a businessman who founded a school during the Japanese colonial period. Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT; literal translation Netherlands Dance Theatre) is a Dutch contemporary dance company. NDT is headquartered at the ''Amare'' building in The Hague. Jiří Kylián (born 21 March 1947) is a Czech former dancer and contemporary dance choreographer. Life Jiří Kylián was born in 1947 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, to his father Václav who was a banker and to his mother Markéta, who was as a young teenager a dancer-child protégée. Johan Kobborg
Johan Kobborg (born 5 June 1972) is a Danish ballet dancer, choreographer, director and visual artist.
