Yellow Line (Washington Metro)
The Yellow Line is a rapid transit line of the Washington Metro system that runs between Huntington Station in Virginia and Greenbelt station in Maryland. It consists of 21 stations in Fairfax County, Alexandria County, and Arlington County in Virginia, as well as Washington, D.C. and Prince George's County, Maryland. The Yellow Line shares tracks with the Green Line from L'Enfant Plaza northward to Greenbelt, and the Blue Line between Pentagon and King Street – Old Town. It has only two stations that are not shared by any other lines (Eisenhower Avenue and Huntington), and only two sections of track that are not shared by any other lines – the section south of King Street – Old Town, and the section between the Pentagon and L'Enfant Plaza stations, crossing the Potomac River. Gallery Place (WMATA Station)
Gallery Place is a Washington Metro station in Washington, D.C., United States, on the Green, Red and Yellow Lines. It is a transfer station between the Red Line on the upper level and the Green/Yellow Lines on the lower level. Gallery Place is located in Northwest Washington, with entrances at 7th and F, 7th and H, and 9th and G Streets. The station's only street elevator is north of F Street on the east side of 7th Street. The station, which is beneath the Capital One Arena, serves that arena and the surrounding Chinatown and Penn Quarter neighborhoods in downtown Washington. Archives (WMATA Station)
Archives is a Washington Metro station in Washington, D.C. on the Green and Yellow Lines. The station is located in Northwest Washington at 7th Street between Pennsylvania and Indiana Avenues, and it is very close to Gallery Place station, so close that the lights of one station can be seen down the tunnel from the other. It takes its name from the nearby National Archives. Its subtitle is derived from the U.S. Navy Memorial and the Penn Quarter neighborhood in which the station is located. It is a popular stop for tourists, with easy access to the northern side of the National Mall. History Service began on April 30, 1983. Fort Totten Station
Fort Totten is a Washington Metro station in northeastern Washington, D.C. It acts as a transfer point between the Green, Yellow and Red Lines. It is the last station on the Green and Yellow lines in the District of Columbia before heading into Maryland. It is one of two stations (the other being Arlington Cemetery station) with three levels (the entrance and exit are on the second floor between the three lines), and is doubly unique in being the only multi-level transfer station built above ground and being the only such station to have island platforms on both levels, as opposed to just the lower level. Pentagon Transit Center is a split platform station on the Washington Metro located adjacent to The Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.
