Yegor Chernev
Yehor Volodymyrovych Cherniev ( uk, Єгор Володимирович Чернєв; born 5 February 1985) is a Ukrainian politician currently serving as a People's Deputy of Ukraine from the Servant of the People party in the Verkhovna Rada, number 26 on the party's list. He is the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, and the Chairman of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Early life and career Yehor Volodymyrovych Cherniev was born on 5 February 1985 in Berdiansk, then part of the Soviet Union. In 2007, he graduated from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts with a degree in public relations management. Berdiansk
Berdiansk or Berdyansk ( uk, Бердя́нськ, translit=Berdiansk, ; russian: Бердя́нск, translit=Berdyansk ) is a port city in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast (Oblast, province) in south-eastern Ukraine. It is on the northern coast of the Sea of Azov, which is the northern extension of the Black Sea. It serves as an administrative center of Berdiansk Raion (district), though it does not belong to the raion. The city is named after the Berda River forming the Berdianska Spit at the foot of which it is located. Berdiansk is home to a safari zoo, water park, museums, destination spa, health resorts with mud baths and climatic treatments, and numerous water sport activities. 2019 Ukrainian Parliamentary Election
Snap elections to the Ukrainian parliament were held on 21 July 2019. Originally scheduled to be held at the end of October, these elections were brought forward after newly inaugurated President of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dissolved parliament on 21 May 2019, during his inauguration. The election result was the one-party majority, a novelty in Ukraine, for President Zelenskyy's Servant of the People party with 254 seats. About 80 percent of the elected candidates were new to parliament; 83 deputies managed to get reelected from 8th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, the previous parliament and 13 deputies from earlier convocations. The Institute for War & Peace Reporting (IWPR) is an independent nonprofit organization that claims to train and provide publishing opportunities for professional and citizen journalists.
