Ye Keming
Ye Keming (28 March 1937 – 5 October 2021) was a Chinese engineer who was chief engineer at Shanghai Construction Group, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Biography Ye was born in Jinshan County, Shanghai, on 28 March 1937, during the Republic of China. After graduating from Suzhou Construction Engineering School (now Suzhou University of Science and Technology) in 1956, he attended Tongji University, where he majored in industrial and civil buildings. From January 1957 to January 1977, Ye worked at the Shanghai No. 5 Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. as deputy chief engineer. He joined the Communist Party of China in January 1965. In January 1977, he was sent to Albania as leader of Civil Engineering Team of Metallurgical Experts from China to Albania. One year later, he returned to China and became director of Technology Department of Baosteel Group. Yangpu Bridge
The Yangpu Bridge () is a sister bridge to the Nanpu Bridge, both crossing the Huangpu River in Shanghai, China. Yangpu is among the world's longest bridges, with a total length of 8354 meters. Its longest span of 602 m makes it one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the world. It carries the Inner Ring Road from the Yangpu District in Puxi to the Pudong New Area. It was completed in September 1993 and opened in October. It is the last vehicular bridge over the Huangpu River before the river empties into the sea. The bridge was designed by the Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute, Shanghai Urban Construction College, and Shanghai Urban Construction Design Institute, with assistance from Holger S. The Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge (HZMB) is a bridge–tunnel system consisting of a series of three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel, and four artificial islands. It is both the longest sea crossing and the longest open-sea fixed link in the world. The Sutong Yangtze Bridge (; , ) is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the Yangtze in China between Nantong and Changshu, a satellite city of Suzhou, in Jiangsu province. Design and construction The Sutong Yangtze River Bridge was designed by Dr. Robin Sham, CBE, FICE, a Hong Kong-born and British-based structural engineer who specializes in bridges. Runyang Yangtze River Bridge
The Runyang Yangtze River Bridge () is a large bridge complex that crosses the Yangtze River in Jiangsu Province, China, downstream of Nanjing. The complex consists of two major bridges that link Zhenjiang on the south bank of the river and Yangzhou on the north. The bridge is part of the Yangzhou–Liyang Expressway. Construction of the bridge complex began in October 2000 and was completed ahead of schedule. The bridge cost 5.8 billion Yuan (about US$700 million). The complex opened to traffic on April 30, 2005.
