Yazid Mansouri
Yazid Mansouri ( ar, يزيد منصوري, Yazīd Manṣūrī) (born 25 February 1978) is a former footballer who played as a midfielder. Born in France, he represented Algeria at international level, gaining 67 caps over ten years. Club career Born in Revin, Ardennes, France, Mansouri began his career at ''Tinqueux SC'', a small team from Tinqueux who were playing in the sixth division. At age 17, he left the club and signed with Le Havre AC who were playing in Ligue 1, where he spent his first two seasons playing in the reserve side. He made his debut in the first game of the 1997–98 season, coming as a second-half substitute against Olympique de Marseille. He would slowly assert himself at the club and would eventually go on to make 134 appearances and scoring 2 goals in 6 seasons in both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. The 2004 African Cup of Nations, known as the NOKIA African Cup of Nations, Tunisia 2004 for sponsorship reasons (also referred to as AFCON 2004 or CAN 2004) is the 24th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men's football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). 2012 African Cup Of Nations Qualification
This page details the process of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualification phase. Forty-six African nations, including hosts Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, entered the competition. Gabon and Equatorial Guinea automatically qualified as host countries. The other 44 nations were drawn into eleven groups, each containing 4 teams. Togo was later added to Group K after its reinstatement. In each group, teams played each other home and away in a round-robin format. The top team in each group qualified, as did the runner-up of Group K (which contained 5 teams) and the two best runners-up from the other groups. The 2010 Africa Cup of Nations, also known as the Orange Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons, was the 27th Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial football championship of Africa ( CAF). It was held in Angola, where it began on 10 January 2010 and concluded on 31 January. In the tournament, the hosts Angola were to be joined by 15 nations who advanced from the qualification process that began in October 2007 and involved 53 African national teams. The withdrawal of Togo after a terrorist attack on their bus upon arriving for the tournament reduced the number of participating nations to 15.
